Looking at the length of this thread I am taking it that the few are saying the Schlong is shite and the rest have put up decent discussion to say he is not; which were probably refuted again by words to the effect of 'Shite'. Once the 'Shite' was no longer being listened to, it turned into a 'Slate another Blue' thread.

Am I right?

Personally though, I do really like De Jong plays; quietly and effectively. If you look at all of the scum goals, not one of them came through him.

1st - Throw in from left wing whilst Micah was still blaming everyone and some good individual skill from Shrek.

2nd - Corner onto Fletchers head that should've been dealt with by the Big Defenders we have.

3rd - Same as 2nd.

4th - Quick ball into Owen from Giggs after a freekick went the wrong way and way after normal realms of ET. Oh, and when did he go off?

Eh, did you not notice that I hadn't read the full thread and did you not notice there were no names. At the same time, I was assuming that this was another Schlong thread other than the one last week, which is where my precis came from.

May I answer that? Cheers pal! Yes we lost the midfield in the second half but De Jong had a cracking 1st half. It was his job to sit in front of the back 4 and try and stop anything or break things up coming through the middle. Just because a World Class manager (probably the best the English Leagues have ever seen (possibly the world)) sussed this out and decided to get the ball out wide, therefore bypassing him, does not mean he is a shite player!

He has played well today, mind you when he is playing with a completely out-of-sorts SWP and Ireland he HAS got to play well.

The two mentioned players, should not even be making the bench this Monday, but we all know what will happen, the side won't change, even though we are not playing with our current best XI players (form wise) on the pitch.

We are too slow in attacking them, they are there for the taking, with their reserve side out there, this should have been a walk in the park......just goes to show how bad we are and have played today......is that they are still in this game.
