Am I right?

Personally though, I do really like De Jong plays; quietly and effectively. If you look at all of the scum goals, not one of them came through him.

1st - Throw in from left wing whilst Micah was still blaming everyone and some good individual skill from Shrek.

2nd - Corner onto Fletchers head that should've been dealt with by the Big Defenders we have.

3rd - Same as 2nd.

4th - Quick ball into Owen from Giggs after a freekick went the wrong way and way after normal realms of ET. Oh, and when did he go off?

Actually, I don't feel the need to defend the Schlong, he seemed to do that very well himself on the pitch!

who has said De Jong is shit? You made that up. I said he was shite in Derby and one of the main reasons why we lost the midfield in second half and the game.

My overall opinion of him I said on topic dedicated to him last week. Not world beater nor complete shite.

To say that he did well there as defensive midfielder in a side that conceded four is nothing sort of ridiculous.

Would you have said Given didn't have a good game then? It's too much of a generalisation to say that.

Eh, did you not notice that I hadn't read the full thread and did you not notice there were no names. At the same time, I was assuming that this was another Schlong thread other than the one last week, which is where my precis came from.

So, you said he was shit in the Derby and not entirely shit in the Arse game, so realistically means that you are saying, 'He is Shite'. What's the problem?

De Jong was one of our better players against two of the best sides in world football. Shows how truely ridiculous this thread was tostart with.

The End.

let's make this simple do you agree with following arguments. Simple yes or no will do.

We lost the midfield in second half against united.

It's defensive midfielders duty to keep the midfield together and win balls and therefore posession.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

May I answer that? Cheers pal! Yes we lost the midfield in the second half but De Jong had a cracking 1st half. It was his job to sit in front of the back 4 and try and stop anything or break things up coming through the middle. Just because a World Class manager (probably the best the English Leagues have ever seen (possibly the world)) sussed this out and decided to get the ball out wide, therefore bypassing him, does not mean he is a shite player!

Fuck me, what a genius Fergie is.

Here have been managers for decades instructing their players to go through the middle then all of a sudden fuck me in the arse and call me rosy, fergie thinks of going out wide.

that was obviously heat of the moment expression few minutes after final whistle.

But yes, I can agree that I feel bit annoyed that the usual suspects would take the wind up route of calling black white just to find an argument. And I do stand by my opinion that anyone who says De Jong did his job in second half knows fuck all about football tactics.

I have to say that I was bit in the wilderness after the "Gareth Barry's agent" post but now you've tricked the compass off me and I'm completely lost.

I just absolutely love the:

"But yes, I can agree that I feel bit annoyed that the usual suspects...." comment - wow talk about looking through the wrong end of the telescope!!!!

Anyway - something I have not seen mentioned - was it me or did the ref get incredibly pedantic time and again on the placement of 3 kicks - remember him making Shay keep retaking for the sake of a yard when he was passing sideways

But I think for the 3rd goal - Giggs was allowed to bring the ball deeper and much better for the angle he wanted for that cross - maybe I am paranoid but I think that is right

He has played well today, mind you when he is playing with a completely out-of-sorts SWP and Ireland he HAS got to play well.

The two mentioned players, should not even be making the bench this Monday, but we all know what will happen, the side won't change, even though we are not playing with our current best XI players (form wise) on the pitch.

We are too slow in attacking them, they are there for the taking, with their reserve side out there, this should have been a walk in the park......just goes to show how bad we are and have played today......is that they are still in this game.
