Personally, I hope he keeps his mouth shut. We were second best throughout the 2nd half on Sunday and would have been lucky to come away with a draw. You play till the final whistle, whether that's after 49 minutes or 99 minutes. If he couldn't see the problems or find a way to change them, the blame lies with him, not the referee. Blaming referees/colour of the shirt is what that lot do.

He needs to remember he's not in charge of Wales or Blackburn now, we are trying to be top 4. That means trying to win games, not desparately hanging on. Put the 2 teams from Sunday on paper and see how many of the rags would get into our first team - about 4 (Evra, Ferdinand, Rooney, Vidic) so why were we so scared of them?

Ah look...one defeat out of 6 against one of the best teams in the world and the Hughes Out brigade rear their ugly head...was wondering when the 'negative Hughes' banter would start

for some reason we cant hold the initiative, against arsenal we were flying before half time them imediately after the break we were forced in to the last third of the field, we had a golden 10 minutes then reverted to the backs to the wall, kick it anywhere game

the swamp was exactly the same, great first half , on the ropes most of second half and if we are honest it was the same against blackburn and wolves, i just cant understand the reason why we cant continue as we start

This whole thing that we didn't 'deserve' a draw...

Just because United had more possession in the second half and more shots than us and we hit them on the break everytime doesn't mean we didn't deserve that draw. We may have been under more pressure than we wanted, but we handled it and the tactics worked right up to legal time.

We deserved a draw.

Surely people are not expecting us to battter teams for the full 90 minutes? We will come under intense pressure in games every now and then, in fact even more so now with peoples jealousy of our new found wealth.
With a little bit more luck at the swamp we could have gone in at half time 2-1 up which would have flattered the rags as we totally dominated the first half. Unfortunately it wasn't to be this time but it was our first defeat of the season against one of the best teams in the world, the previous week we totally outplayed Arsenal and got our rewards. Before the season started i would have taken the results so far. I'm totally happy with where we are right now.

We just lack that confidence, experience and a little more belief - Jeez the teams been together 6 weeks and people expect us to rip up the champions on their patch - inch by inch and game by game we are achieving all of the above - just let it come

word of the day "privy"
Craig wasnt privy to how much time was left. he wanted the cock off the field and when the cock moved aggressively towards him he defended himself with an open hand.
Mark wasnt privy to the joke between taggart and Wiley and wasnt unhappy "maybe it was a funny joke"

Oh and Toure is a strong minded man and a great professional. his fasting (for Ramadan) did not effect his play.

Apart from the odd few games where one team totally overwhelms the other, most games ebb and flow with periods of pressure by both sides. It it unusual for a team not to be put under pressure at some point.
One thing that does worry me is the fact that we do seem to allow opponents to get too many crosses in. This could be because our counterattacking strategy means we often push our full backs forward, leaving open space behind them.
It is a case of balance. Our push on tactic means we score goals, the unopposed space behind makes us vulnerable to goals conceeded.
In the opening games, the balance was in our favour. Against the rags it went against us. Maybe the loss of Ade was crucial in this as his presence adds an extra threat and greater weight to our attacking balance.
It certainly makes for exciting entertaining football and I think it is a strategy that will serve is well and worth risking.

Did I say Hughes Out? Or did I just question the performance in places and the strategy we seemed to be following? For the record, I thought we were equally as bad against Wolves and Arsenal but got away with it.

So either it's happy clap and say everything is pefect regardless of what is happening on the pitch or you're a cock? I could stoop to your level and call you a cock and suspect I'd be proved right, but I'd prefer to have a reasoned debate with people on here, who's views I may or may not share. I'm actually not convinced that Hughes is up to the job - his signings are generally good, but tactically and as a unit, it doesn't seem to work, as it didn't last season. I feel it is the quality of players who has got us the results, rather than great management. Time will tell if I'm right or wrong, but either way, I don't see why we can't discuss tactics or performances relating to a particular match.

Our tactics in the 1st four games seem to do it for me mate...and to be only extra time seconds away from a draw at the swamp was a decent tactical showing too.
If we win, its the players
If we lose, its Hughes.
Sorry mate...It's a Hughes/players effort either way.

i thought we give them a right going over in the first half [ apart from the first 5-10 mins ] we could have gone in at 2-1. they would have overrun some teams in the 2nd half, but we did give it a go and only just got beat in final fergie time. THEY BEAT OUR 2ND TEAM. THE FUTURE IS BLUE ENJOY CITY FANS
