Blooding the squad was a good idea in my humble, and if you thought the selection was that shite perhaps you should have insulted the manager before kick off?

One is just opining...

Well fucking said. Never seen such a bunch of hysterical women (of either gender) in my life as on here tonight! People suggesting the manager might be sacked because we didn't take the whatevertheleaguecupscalledthisyear cup seriously? They need to take a look in the mirror and give themselves a slap! Very pleased some youngsters got a chance, and we got some gametime into a couple of crocks and old fogeys too. Shame if we won't get a chance to see how these kids would have done for another round or two...

Wow you must have seen us win 5 premier leagues, 4 FA Cups and a Champions League to think we are privlaged enough to play our reserve team.

I remember us winning this trophy when it actually meant something! When we break our duck we want to do it in style not by winning the mickey mouse cup - far lesser sides than us have fielded their reserves too this week. Some have faired ok - others have lost such as Everton and Bolton (as indeed have Chelsea). Even West Brom had their reserves out tonight. Get over it.

oh the mickey mouse cup that we havent won in 35 years! 99.9% of city fans would probably fucking love to see us lift that trophy.

a trophy is a trophy! once again we fuck it up.

Even if we do beat Chelsea, it doesn't mean to say we will win the league and certainly doesn't justify throwing away a chance to win something. If City are serious about getting rid of the 'typical' tag and instilling a winning mentality, they arguably have to play their strongest sides in games like this, not the kids. I don't know whether I'm more worried about Mancini maybe not being on the same page as the powers above or the possibility that the club as a whole wrote off this tournament before it began.

I know people are disappointed but what a fucking stupid over-reaction! We've still the chance to win the Europa and FA cup

So you think we have more of a chance to win the F.A Cup or the Europa League, get a fucking grip.

Hmmm really unsure what putting a kids line up out tonight was all about... i mean one or two kids but that was pretty much the academy.

Mancini should have put SWP and other player who won't play saturday out tonight.

Bit of an error on Mancini's part, treating a cup we could win like its not important. Daft.

Thing is Walmai, when you haven't won a bloody thing for 30 odd years like us, we have absolutely no right to piss competitions up the wall like we did tonight.

One bad draw in the FA Cup and that will be it for another year. We arent going to win the league or the Europa so its the FA Cup left really, again, in bloody September.

was a massive disrespect. different case had we been top of the league unbeaten etc, we have already dropped stupid points and look no where near what we hoped/expected. Carling cup would be a start. last year we would have given anything to get to wembley, this year were to fucking cuntishly rich to care.

So all you saying it's a shit cup are telling me you weren't heartbroken when the rags did us in said cup last year or is that different??

The fucking piss taking has started already, and after 20 years it gets pretty fucking boring trying to defend joke City teams.

Im glad we lost. Im bored of winning shit. Fair play to Mancini for giving other teams a shot at winning something.

It's called sharing, people. Being polite. And fair. I like it. It's not easy when you are managing a club who is desperate to win something to show the mettle he showed tonight.

He better fucking hope his team hangs the fuclin moon against Chelsea or this will have been for naught. Here's hoping.

Cheers
