Absolutely fucking pathetic! We needed this trophy and once again we've tossed it away like it was nothing. Serious question marks over Mancini now!

Lets remember WBA made 10 fucking changes themselves from their last premier league game.

There is no hiding place after this one I am afraid.

Fucking wank and fucking embarrassing.

Not good enough, not by a very long chalk.

Sort it out Mancini. Like some one else said, we picked a team to lose, but a bit of guts would of been nice.

I thought we had seen the end of displays like this. FFS!!!

How brassed off must Given be? Finally gets a game - but its behind the most inexperienced defence that City have ever fielded in my memory.

We got what we deserved for putting out that XI.

Well fucking said. Never seen such a bunch of hysterical women (of either gender) in my life as on here tonight! People suggesting the manager might be sacked because we didn't take the whatevertheleaguecupscalledthisyear cup seriously? They need to take a look in the mirror and give themselves a slap! Very pleased some youngsters got a chance, and we got some gametime into a couple of crocks and old fogeys too. Shame if we won't get a chance to see how these kids would have done for another round or two...

Wow you must have seen us win 5 premier leagues, 4 FA Cups and a Champions League to think we are privlaged enough to play our reserve team.

I remember us winning this trophy when it actually meant something! When we break our duck we want to do it in style not by winning the mickey mouse cup - far lesser sides than us have fielded their reserves too this week. Some have faired ok - others have lost such as Everton and Bolton (as indeed have Chelsea). Even West Brom had their reserves out tonight. Get over it.

We have Chelsea on Saturday?! :-/

How stupid will we look if we get dicked 0-2 on saturday with two goals from Anelka who played today? That may well happen you know.

A lot of things might happen at the weekend, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Had we played a full team tonight and someone got injured or we got tonked by Chelsea at the weekend then it would have been a bad decision then too wouldn't it? the only way Mancini was going to be right in his decision to play youth/reserve players tonight was by winning the game.

yes mate but he's fcuked up! i really don't think he'll be here at the end of the season ,last year a part Chelski away (more down to the players wanting it for Wayne )hughes could of done the same job i reckon even better ,still cause he was an "ex " rag most wouldn't give him the chance

Mancini is on very dodgy ground looking at the next couple of games - why didn´t SWP and Komps play and why oh why did RSC start?

Well said chaps.Good for the younger lads to get a chance.Ideally we would all love a win but i wont loose any sleep if we dont.
The team selection is spot on for this competition.

so you honestly think we have a better chance of winning the europa, FA cup, Or the league than winning this cup?

I never said any of that but i know i would have been asking serious questions of Mancini if he had played our best 11 tonight ahead of Chelsea on the weekend. The team selection was spot on in my opinion so i cant side with the many who are looking for his head over the team selection tonight.

Spot on to lose.....and we did.

200 FUCKING MILLION TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE DEPTH AND WE GO AND PLAY A BUNCH OF KIDS .............YOUR A THOUSAND MILES AWAY FROM SPOT ON !!

Emabarrassing line up imo....and it stinks of arrogance.

Are you that surprised though mate? I'm never going to call for Mancini's head but we've got a big enough squad to rest a couple of players and still field a decent enough team. The likes of RSC need to have a long look at themselves as well.

Ah well, I guess we'll just have to beat Chelsea at the weekend in 'typical city' style.

Absolutely fucking gutted.

What's the chances we'll be watching some no mark ex City or rag player in a fucking cup final again next season whilst we press our fucking noses up against the window?

£300 million spent on players & we field the weakest fucking team we've put out for years. Utter fucking disgrace.
