One is just opining...

Well fucking said. Never seen such a bunch of hysterical women (of either gender) in my life as on here tonight! People suggesting the manager might be sacked because we didn't take the whatevertheleaguecupscalledthisyear cup seriously? They need to take a look in the mirror and give themselves a slap! Very pleased some youngsters got a chance, and we got some gametime into a couple of crocks and old fogeys too. Shame if we won't get a chance to see how these kids would have done for another round or two...

How stupid will we look if we get dicked 0-2 on saturday with two goals from Anelka who played today? That may well happen you know.

Had this happened at the same stage of last season I'd see it as a fair bet there would have been some hysteria coming from your corner.

Has one every seen City lift a trophy??

Yes but I'm nearly 50.

I would have a much bigger issue if city fielded a broken squad on saturday

Well said chaps.Good for the younger lads to get a chance.Ideally we would all love a win but i wont loose any sleep if we dont.
The team selection is spot on for this competition.

But that didn't happen mate, Hughes took the cups seriously if I remember rightly.

Some of you can call what you like but this is crap. Why we let go Bellers is beyond me, this is the time when we need players like him and not some of these fucking idiots like RSC or Jo.

Wow you must have seen us win 5 premier leagues, 4 FA Cups and a Champions League to think we are privlaged enough to play our reserve team.

OliverH - why is it over reactive to say that putting out a team of kids in a competition we could win is ridiculous? Maybe you're one of the older ones who remembers seeing a decent side winning things? I'm not. My first city memory is watching an open bus tour in 1976, but i don't recall the match, as I was 4. If we'd won this, an fa cup and a few championships in the last few years, i'd have no problem using it as an outing for the squad, but you've got to earn that. Like the rags, who made 11 changes and still scored 5.

What's ridiculous is the attitude of the manager and some fans who seem to think we're too good for this competition
