PMSL Another one escapes the rag net...of course there was 'no value' in the signing ;-)

Bargain of a century.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Some really smart transfer moves by Madrid this season bring in Ozil, Khedeira, Di Maria and Carvalho in particular while letting the old guard of Raul and Guti go. Be interesting to see how they accommodate everyone given that Kaka, Ozil and Van Der Vaart are all virtually competing for one spot in the team.

Good buy at a good price considering his contract expires at the end of this season.
I think Khedira was stupid to move there though - their squad is more packed than ours and there're fewer competitions within which to rotate players (no one cares about the King's Cup).
One:
----Khedira----
-Alonso--Lass-
-----Kaka------
Two:
-----Gago-----
Leon----Di Maria
------Ozil------
Three:
----Diarra----
Granero--Canales
-----VDV-----
Jose has a lot of options. Signing four midfielders (Leon, Ozil, Khedira and Di Maria) seems a bit much for one window.

word!
he blackmailed Werder saying that he'd go there as a Bosman next year if they didn't accept Real's offer. Inter had a 30m € offer turned down by Oezil earlier today.

Seems cheap compared to approx. 26.5m for Milner and 10m for Ireland. I wonder what he would have cost if he were British and had had just as good of a WC but for England.

Can't believe Milner is apparently worth more than double what Oezil is!

so what. We are forking out 26 million for milner. Ozil has talent to be next Zidane. Milner has talent to be next David Platt if everything goes well for him.
That's how much we are overpaying for him and that's how much of a bargain Ozil is.
And I'm not going because of the World Cup. I saw this feller numerous of times last season and he IS the real deal. I'm prepared to go on record with that prediction.

Even funnier was Inter Milan signing arguably the best centre back in the world Lucio for around 5m last year, in the same window Jolean Lescott went for 5 times that!

do people really think this ozil fella is that good?
i thought thomas mueller was the absolute stand out from the german team in the WC, not ozil, who was in and out of games.
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

I was thinking along the same lines. I don't claim to be an expert on other leagues (I don't play Football Manager games) but I had never heard of him before the World Cup and wondered if it was just a flash in the pan.

Well, I've seen him and he is top top talent.
In fact, fuck it, I put my money where my mouth is. Anyone dare to give me odds that he'll who ballon D'or in next six years? Decent odds and I'm good for hundred.
