I've yet to see anything great from Milner tbh and my brothers whose a Villa supporter said the same. He had one top season (last season) before that was very average. I'm sceptical of this one. We should have learned from one season wonders RSC and Jo. He is nowhere near worth £26m and certainly not worth Ireland and £16m. I have a feeling we'll live to regret this one as well tbh, villa mugging us again.

How are Villa mugging us again?Surely if Gareth was as shit as some makeout he would not be playing, whereas he constsntly get in the team. And considering he is not a player that Bobby brought to us I think thats quite an achievement.
I think what Gareth does for the team is overlooked by a lot because he doesn't have lightning pace.
For me he is doing the job Hamman did just as well.

I wonder if the 'Ireland Is Superman' banner has appeared on Ebay yet? :-)

Stevie loves this club eh? Well i'll be bolloxed if i've seen that "Passion" for our club on the pitch since his purple patch year, this pre season he had a chance to shine and get back in the squad, what happened, he put in some of the limpest performances i've seen from a footballer. Period.

Also those slating Milner before he signed need to get real. Milner is a footballer who's ability is of a higher level than Stevie's AND who works his nuts off every game, just the type of player we want here, a true champion. I mean take last Saturdays villa game for example, he could have sulked and been non committed due to the impending transfer to us but no, the lad ran the show and scored a goal. Exactly the type of attitude Stevie could learn from.

People need to wake up to the fact we are upgrading a player here, Stevie is not cut out for a top team challenging for honours, he has to go and Milner is the perfect replacement.

Frankly i'm delighted we are getting Milner and are getting shot of the unbelievably overrated Ireland.

One purple patch doesn't make a player awesome forever. Ask Benjani.

Exactly my friend, exactly! Apparently Richards has only had one good season also. Where's all the love for him??

Milner will be far better for us. A consistant player that has a strong mind and gets on with it.. Im actually getting a little pissed off with some City fans having a right cry over players leaving. We're moving on!! Ireland was good for one season!! Bellamy was good for 6 months!! get over it! Im actually pissed off with these types at City, the ones that seem to moan none stop or have issues. We need pros that get on with it..This our club !! some seem to be turning on it for the sake of some over paid tosser that is spitting his dummy out because they have to now work for their place in the team..

I know. It's like they want to settle for mid table mediocrity with Ireland and Dunne at the helm. I'm sure Stuart Pearce will be looking for a job soon - we could always get him back as well.

For crying out loud, there are some fucking drama queens on here at the moment.

Ireland, has been an abject performer. Out of the 5 seasons he has been a first team member, he turned up in ONE SEASON when all the cards were stacked in his favour. The season after his purple patch, his favourite manager, who he claimed had helped to improve him as a player, failed to get anything out of Ireland because he changed the system slightly and asked Ireland to pitch in and embrace the changes.

Ireland failed to do this. He then stuck the knife in Hughes' back not long after, claiming it was Hughes' fault he was playing shite - yet failing to see that with Mancini playing a similar system in midfield, he was also by implication criticising the new manager. It was clear then that Ireland had no future at the club, and after his efforts in tracking Scholes when he came on against United, I have got no fucking sympathy for him being kicked out of the club, because that was not a lack of ability, the guy couldnt be fucking arsed.

So talk to me about him being a blue, about him wanting a stand naming after him, about this or that platitude he may have come out with, but the fact is that for 80% of his city career, he has been dire and of a quality nowhere near what is required even for a relegation struggle in the PL, and last season the fact was, he didn't even fucking try.

If you lot are stupid enough to think that the whole club should revolve around a player who needs the sun, moon, and all the fucking stars in alignment for him to have a decent game, bollocks, wake up, get a grip and stop looking at this guy with sentimentality. He didn't try for you last season, why the fuck should you defend him now.

I'm quite sure we will see a thread in the coming months saying "I was wrong about Milner, he is a great player"

Stevie is going so let's get over it and get behind Millner. We can not change what has happend it's gone, let's move forward and get behind the team. It's bad enough with everyone else against us never mind our own joining the ranks of doubters.

I think some of you need to get a reality check. Do you know that Colin Bell still loves this club does that mean he should still be playing. So what that Ireland loves this club he hasn't performed for over 12 months and that is all that matters to me. Surely its for the good of the club that a non-performing player is released so that a better player can come in

Great signings for both clubs! Superman wasn't exactly the same from a lot of months and we actually miss to play in Champions League for his unbelievable mistake against Carrot Head in extra-time of last derby at Eastlands!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!
