Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

City need to bring in a high profile legal team to fight the charges against Adebayor.
FA rules state clearly that if Clattenberg had witnessed the said incident, (as television evidence clearly shows he did, he is looking right at it) by Adebayor on mard arse, and took no action then there is no case to answer.
I have looked at the video umpteen times it clearly shows that Clattenberg is looking directly at the incident and his view is not impaired in any way..
It is blatantly obvious Clattenberg is denying witnessing the incident so the FA can charge Adebayor,
Clattenberg is a liar
Clattenberg must be brought to task by City’s legal team
THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A STICH UP OF THE HIGHEST ORDER.

They'll have shown him the video from the angle which looks like Ade turns his ankle to deliberately catch VP & not shown him the angle wich proves otherwise, so Clattenburg will think he's missed a nasty challenge. The 3 Arsenal players stood a few yards away also missed it & showed no reaction. Strange?
City should make the bastards watch it from all angles & at full speed where it's obvious he trips over VP whilst regaining his balance. How can they prove intent? The answer is they fucking can't but they want to do him regardless.

Its an absolute disgrace! How can they so blatantly lie like that, when its clear for everyone to see that Clattenberg saw the incident from about 2 yards away?? Disgusting. The FA is a corrupt farce. I hope City don't take this lying down. I like the wording on the offical site. Makes me think we're going to challenge it:
"The club is considering its position in relation to both matters"
Somebody ate my grapes...

i'm pretty sure the club will have the lawmen looking into every facet of f.a regulations concerning this.
if there's a way for us to fight it i reckon we will.

Clutterbuck is a liar yes, but if he'd said he'd seen it he would've been sanctioned by the FA and probably be reffing in the UniBond for a while. So he chooses to say he did not see it and written it up after Wenger showed him it on a replay, which then allows it to go to an independent committee who will almost certainly charge Ade. Let's face it, from that angled replay, he does look guilty as hell.
However, I think the word we are looking for is 'Integrity', which Clutterbuck obviously has not of!!!

He's actually done really well to get into a position to see it. To then not see it beggars belief.

You know how United have the '3x years' banner.
We need something in the stadium in a similar vein. The next time he referees at COMS , a simple banner that says something like
'Clattenberg, it's a shame. You lied. We're watching you".
I think it would do the trick ...
What do you lot think ?

And if he did, you think it would help or hurt us?
We have never lost playing under the whistle of Clattenburg, I think seeing a banner like that might just see those 50-50 calls go against us and end up losing that record. I saw we wear this one on the chin and get the fuck over it. It'd be a rag thing to hold onto a grudge over something like this when it has been put to bed. We're better.

I don't think he did see it, he's not lying.. In real time there's nothing to see. None of the Arsenal players saw anything either apart from Adebayor tripping over VP. That's all you see if you look at it in real time. They've showed him a slomo & convinced him he's missed something that he should have seen. From the angle he's been shown he'll think he's missed a deliberate stamp. It's not his fault.

bang on, that.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

I think we have to take this on the chin...We could jump up and down and scream, but in the longer term. I dan't see us benefitting from doing that.
I do think that we should however be pushing for Van Persie to be hauled in with regard to the original challenge.
Don't worry, we will soon have our day, despite the best efforts of those who wish to stop us.
Making the top four with Arsenal dropping to 5th would be a start.

Just seen a replay of it with no sound on & once again saw Ade jumping out of the way of a two footed lunge.
With his size & long legs, If Adebayor had been the one making the challenge, he'd still be facing the same 3 game ban. No doubt about it.

Really crap thread title. Clattenberg had a great game on Saturday, funnily enough his best decision directly led to the goal that Adebayor scored. Was he conspiring against us then? He let a few tasty fouls go and referee'd what was the best Premiership game I've seen in years. Certainly involving City anyway. We also tend to win when he refs us if that hadnt escaped your little paraniod mind.
Perhaps he maybe just maybe didnt see it, and perhaps when he saw the video he saw Adebayor was guilty as hell and made sure he got the punishment that every neutral and even City wont disagree with.
If making sure justice is done is conspiring against us then so be it.
