Peter Kenyon (born 1954, Stalybridge, Cheshire) is the chief executive of Chelsea Football Club, of the Premier League in England. Educated in Tameside at West Hill School, he is the former production director and chief executive of sportswear firm Umbro.[1] He first sold his soul at Manchester United, but he was targeted by Chelski shortly after the Roman Abramovich takeover. After a spell of gardening leave[2] he officially joined Chelski in February 2004.[3] This was met with widespread controversy because Kenyon had consistently professed to be a life-long armchair supporter of the Trafford corporation.[1]
Kenyon is the main spokesman for the non-footballing side of Chelski as Roman Abramovich does not give interviews or attend press conferences and Chelski's chairman Bruce Buck keeps a low profile. Kenyon's background is in marketing, and he was recruited by Chelski to increase the club's commercial income.
Since joining Chelski, Kenyon has been involved in high-profile controversies including an attempt to persuade the manager of the England national team Sven-Göran Eriksson to become manager of Chelski, and the tapping-up of former Arsenal F.C. and current England left-back Ashley Cole. His very business-minded emphasis on selling football clubs as "brands" alienates some traditional supporters.
Kenyon attracted particular criticism after the 2008 Champions League final in Moscow, in which Chelsea lost on penalties to Manchester United. The winning side were led to receive their medals by Sir Bobby Charlton, who declined to wear the medal, having not been involved in the game. Chelsea were led to receive their runners-up medals by Peter Kenyon, who accepted one from UEFA president Michel Platini and wore it around his neck. He was sacked by Chelski on September 16 and will leave his role on October 31 to take up a new role Lord of the Underworld in an attempt to atone for the evil he has done.
:) I never touched it.

According to the latest City programme, it lists the Chief Operating Officer as Paul Aldridge.
It's already been made public that Paul Aldridge is leaving that role soon. What's the betting..?

Why the fuck are we constantly linked to fucking Rags at every fucking level? It's like no other club in the world exists and/or we can't look further than across the road.
What really pisses me off is that eversince appointment of Hughes, very few seem even remotely bothered about this, usually leading into slanging contest of who are least bothered about them or actually quite likes them or at very least most of their players.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Sorry mate, I know this will be hard to hear, but they are without doubt the most successful premier league club since the league began and we should really be looking at emulating their model but carrying it out with more precision
and yes, what is more important to me is that I enjoy watching the quality of football on offer from Manchester City, and rivalries/outright hating "them", whilst fun, are not the be all and end all of being a city fan and I am sometimes feel you have failed to grasp that

I'm not arguing they aren't the most succesfull side since Premier League was set up and I'm not saying that we shouldn't try and steal some of the ideas from them. What I AM however saying is that we don't need to try and get all their personel. Also, there are loads of other succesfull clubs in the world.

As one of the games great cunts he has worked for two cuntish teams and left both under a cloud. Can anyone honestly see the Sheik replacing Cook with him, because that is the role he does?
Never in a million years He was brought to Chelsea because no-one there could run a football business for Roman. He failed. We have a lot a good people already.

One of them being Chelsea, which is where Kenyon is from & not Utd. It's absolutely bizarre to think of him in terms of Utd.
No one other than us City fans is linking us to Kenyon anyway as far as I can see but the reasons I don't want Kenyon are because I don't personally like him, not because of this 'rag' business which I don't give a flying fuck about & never really have. Some people from there I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire, others are ok people who good at their job which is all I care about.
Rumour has it Kenyon is a City fan. I don't know if that's true but I do know he walked out on the rags & helped Chelsea sign all their transfer targets, therefore he's as much a rag as Ryan Giggs is a blue. I don't care either way. I don't want him because he's a snake, which is much more important imo.

I am sort of argueing with your second point though - the fact that they are the most successful prem team, chelsea are probably the second mind, and its only hypothetical we'll end up with Kenyon anyway , the point remains he's been at both and done very well there
Yes there are successful teams but we're in the prem - a notoriously different league as far as world football goes and we stand to poach a director whose worked at the 2 best teams - not the time for "ex rag" hysteria - added to that he's meant to be a blue isn't he?

Well that's the story, yeah.
My point in general wasn't so much about Kenyon, who I don't want most of all because he is slimy little shit and suit who is just in game to take as much out of it for himself as possible, but overall. I'd love us to have tradition of not infesting our great Club with former Rags at any level but that's just my opinion.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Since he took over Chelsea have never been out of limelight over their skulduggery in the transfer market. They've been punished repeatedly and finally they've been completely reamed over it.
Previously at the rags he was a widely despised figure and contributed so much to why so many people hated them. In a short space of time at Chelsea he had their reputation thrashed and any goodwill towards them gone.
Yes, he signed players successfully and pulled off a few transfer coups but mostly made it harder for Chelsea in the long term transfer market. They ended up missing out on Robinho because they were playing silly buggers over the fee. Chelsea will be remember for things like getting Ballack as a Bosman (still huge money) but at the expense of turning him into a hate figure.
This week we've had a taste of what it's like to be the pantomime villain, I certainly didn't like it and don't want to see us going down that road regularly.
I want to see Manchester City the club I love became great and win things. I don't want to see us turn into Manchester United.
