I'm with you IBH.
I've a feeling though this whole debate is turning into the new Hughes in/out argument. Joy o Joy!

Stevie Ireland is a player that can win us a league title. I can't say the same about Milner. It's that simple. am soo looking forward to Silva and Stevie on the same team. I think they could change the world.
FFS dazby you're making him sound like Iniesta. Ireland has had 1 good season, 1 shit season and about 3 average-below average seasons. He'll be 24 soon, I think some people still think he is 20 and just forcing himself into the team from the Academy.

Daz that's madness.
Ireland wasn't good enough to get in a team that couldn't get in the top 4. Milner was always going to end up at a top 4 team. Win us the league? LOL

eggsfuckingzackly. Smart money would bet on Milner being the kind of anchor player who you could win something around more than Ireland.
has anyone who thinks otherwise bothered to watch either of them in the last 12 months? Ireland's fallen off the face of the earth...and he was circling it in a pink gypo van painted as a spaceship before he crash landed for a fantastic 2/3 of a season and then went back into orbit.
Milner on the other hand has been drinking jet fuel mixed with Muscle Milk over the last coupla seasons and i cannot fuclin wait to see what he can do for us.
cheers

Don't understand why so many people have decided Milner is shit at football. There are a lot of things Milner can do with a football better than Ireland. It's not cut & dried. As technical footballers they both have pros & cons. I'd love to see the stats of how many so called defense splitting passes Ireland has made compared to Milner. I recon Milner would come out on top.

got this quote from balotelli off sky, not strictly transfer related but it made me laugh:
"When I shot a pistol I did something stupid but then journalists blow everything out of proportion."

Balotelli has made a decision over Man City or Inter
11.08.10 | Ian Ferris
READ MORE NEWS ON: Inter Milan, Roberto Mancini, Manchester City
Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli plans to end the speculation over his future by deciding between a move to Manchester City or remaining at the San Siro.
The talented 19 year old has been involved in a summer-long transfer saga to join former boss Roberto Mancini at Eastlands for a deal in the region of €30 million.
His agent Mino Raoiola recently claimed that a deal is possible before the transfer deadline.
"Manchester City? I know [about their interest], but I don't want to talk about this," he told Sky Sport 24.
"I did not say I will go there, but I already know what will happen."
The difficult forward is believed to want a move to the Premier League, and this latest statement suggests it is only a matter of days before he is reunited with his former boss in Manchester.
