This is the worst performance by a City team i've ever seen, and i watched us in the 80's and go down twice. There is something badly wrong here. Sorry match thread warriors... New Topic Title... Our squad players are shit or disinterested?

My God is right fucking slouches playing for us tonight i actually began enjoying watching Sporting stroke the ball around while the city players ball watched.Shocking lack of efffort on citys behalf. The players playing tonight were by no means the starting 11 but ffs a bit of effort would have been appreciated.I could have went to bed hours ago if i had known we were going to be deliverd that shit.
Can any one actually remember a period of city possesion let alone city pressure, i need not ask the question really.I know its only preseason but i would at least expect an effort from the players.

Bellers has a move line up for sure, he just looked like he didnt want to risk getting an injury. Midfield just looked lost, Zabba didnt seem to know what his role was, so they were just playing through us all night - unless they got within reach of Vieira's swinging leg. No midfield meant very little service to Ireland and Johnson - so we were resorting to that long punt up to Bellers really early which was a waste of fecking time.

You don't know how many times the Aussie contingent have thought that over the years.

What we saw was a game between one team's full squad and almost match fit squad against our nowhere near full strength or fully fit squad. End of.
Sorry to disrupt the usual flow of hysteria.

No qualms with that Kladze it was obviously a weak city side but i do feel those players should be trying to show what they can offer the side when given the chance and i cant name one city player to come out of that game who has done anything to inhance their reputation.
You cant deny that was one of the worst performances you have seen city put in regardless of the fact that it was a preseason game.

Morning chaps! I didn't watch the match , but I was up feeding the baby and following developments through the thread.
Not an excuse, but sporting play in the wafer this week. Maybe they are a couple of weeks ahead of City? Both the prem an their league start on the same day

Chelsea got dicked 3-1 by Ajax, does anyone think they will be struggling to finish in the top 4 this season?

i like the way theres a 10 minute segment on the game last night on SSN, if we battered them 200-nil there wouldnt even be a mention. Also anyone notice the "spurs will play sporting lisbon in the final whilst city will play redbull in the 3rd place play off tomorrow" little pricking comment. If it wasnt for the advert with the 3 SSN slags in leather i dont think i would be watching SSN ever again

It was a pre season game wasn't it? That is the equivalent of a warm up practice match so why all the hysteria?

Only a pre-season ... and all that.....
mind you after all the tremendous work by Cook's team to market CITY so well in NY - you can bet he must have been gutted that the playing staff could not do a bit to help....

My God its turned into bluemong on here
the brother of my girlfriends aunty works behind the bar of the favourite place of the sister-in-law of the guy who organises the travel arrangements for the NY Bulls, apparently a certain Thierry H was seen chatting with Marwood after the game last night, now im not one to go overboard on speculation but this guy saw what he says looked like a contract being wafted around and is adamant he saw Henry sign something!

Yeah, but theirs was a pre-season friendly whilst ours was a pre-season 'must win by all costs with our 2nd and 3rd string players' game.
I'm dreading the new season now!
