Me too - usually read someone else's at work - but for some reason from our first game this season I started to buy a paper the following day and cut out the report, not something I've ever done before...

Optimism creeping in you see; you're secretly thinking there could be history in the making! I used to do that in the 60's- 70's.

Thats why i suggested a diary thread on here coz i think this season is going to be paradoxical for us.

Definitely an OG. It wasn't goalbound, Micah hit the post, then it went in off the head of one of the Premier's slowest keepers, moving in slow motion across the goal. Unlucky again for Micah but there you are.

I'm with Gillie here, it was coming back out after hitting the post, before it hit Almunia on the bonce and went in. Therefore an O.G

Does anyone recall any similar goals in City games? I have a vague recollection of an Oldham header banging in off the back of Perry Suckling's melon after pinging the bar back in about 88 but no other's spring to mind

I'm sure Caicedo's back heel against West Brom was similiar.

It was Micah's goal.
A great header that the keeper failed to keep out of the net. Easy.
I don't give a shit about angles or rebounds, it was great to see Micah leap like a salmon again and plant one that ended up in the onion bag. Calling it an oggie is pedantic at best.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

Although Micah deserves the credit I'm convinced it will be officially an own goal. It wasn't on its way in after hitting the post so needed Almunias head to put it in.

The OS has it as a Richards goal but the Premier League site has it as an own goal.

Robbie Fowler had a header against Birmingham that hit the post, came out a coupl eof yards, hit Maik Taylor and went in. The Dubious Goals Commitee eventually handed the goal to Fowler.

In my opinion, if that was Fowler's goal then this one will certainly be Richards'.

Ah yes I remember now, I have to concur that if Fowler got that, then this goal has to be Richards.

Cheers
