I don't see DeJong being sold at all. If I was Barry I would be more worried than DeJong.

De Jong won't be sold. End of.
Barry won't either.
Loads of other "squad players" will go long before we even think about selling our starters to make way for better talent.

Milner to demand move
Aston Villa star James Milner is reportedly ready to hand in a written transfer request to push through a move to Manchester City.
The News of the World claims the England man is keen to seal the switch to Eastlands on his return from the World Cup in South Africa.
Milner is believed to have spoken about the interest from City to his international team-mates and has now come to the conclusion that their lucrative offer can no longer be ignored.
Chelsea have also shown an interest in the player but the Blues were unable or perhaps unwilling to meet the £20m price tag slapped on his head by Villa boss Martin O'Neill.
Money isn't an issue for City who have already tabled a couple of bids for the winger to secure his signature and the next offer could be closer to £30m as Roberto Mancini battles desperately to get his man.

We'd be a laughing stock if we pay anything over 10million for mister sqaure-head-no-pace.

If Ozil had been running at DeJong rather than Barry, they'd still be finding bits of him in the stand. That's why DeJong will play plenty of games next season.

eggsackly. and against top teams i'd have Nige 1000x over Barry. He plays to the level of his competition in some regards. Or maybe better stated, and I dunno what it is, against teams that don't try and play actual fuclin football his game is less evident and he cannot assert hisself.
cheers

Yeah but we would have pay way over the odds for him like 25 mil and he just ain't a goalscorer.....
I know but when you weigh up the alternatives
Rooney - Utterly anonymous (although, credit to him, he didn't get sent off this time)
Ronaldo - As yet still pretty much M.I.A
Berbatov - Hmmm, has anyone seen Dimitar?
Owen - hahaha

the tide is surely turning...my 9 year old saw a kid in a Scum shirt today and said "Daddy, is Manchester United a good football team?"
My answer: "Not anymore sweetie."
End of conversation.

I'd spend 30 million on Ozil over Milner

Ozil would be a great signing but I think Silva is who we are targeting for that role mate.

No, but their names sound similar so I presumed they played similar attacking roles.
That said, as ever, I like to learn the game of football and all its components from you Doomy, so please tell me where I'm falling short.
