He signed a new contract (worth 40k/w according to papers). I doubt Birmingham, who have been very tight about their budget, would've paid all of that. The move was to benefit the player first and foremost. He doesn't quite seem to appreciate that though.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

The deal may have benefitted Hart Mate but first and foremost the deal was made to benefit City.
We lose him for a year but he remains happy because he gets 1st team football. He isn't stagnating in a bench at CoMS and City get back a more developed and experienced player.
Do you think we would have sent him to Brum if we didn't hope to get something out of it?

I'm with Antii on this one, he's been having these little pops at us throughout the season. It really started to piss me off.

That's the thing, he doesn't seem too happy.

HE hasn't been diplomatic and professional towards us during the season. I've made notes.

Still not happy.

Does anything make you happy. Hey Mike, can you allow NQDP become the Doom Merchant? I am sure you would find fault with the way the Easter Bunny hops. Joe is a kid, who gives a fuck what he says? Actions speak louder than words. Do you think he is going to lay an egg (stay with the bunny analogy) and try and lose matches for City? Wait, don't answer, I bet you do. ;)

Hart's not a kid. He is 23 years old professional footballer and needs to talk accordingly and with respect to Club that pays his wages.

23 is a kid.. and there is nothing wrong with what he said. There was no overt disrespect to City, it was loyalty to his teammates and the fans who supported him this past season. What 23 year old who had FUN (yes fun, it is still a game) and love (from the fans) would not say what he said.

Did he say fuck City, I want to stay here? No he basically said my employer wants me back, and I am going to go. Did he threaten not to play? No?

There is so muchg negativity on this board (not only you Antii), I don't get why it matters, until he proves otherwise, he has done nothing to show me he doesn't want to be here. Once he gets the support and a couple of Europa matches under his belt, I suspect you will see nothing but the best in both performance and what he says.

But at the same time mate people are saying 'Fuck Robinho off!' because he's said he loves playing in Santos and wouldn't mind staying there yet we're not allowed to have the same feelings towards Hart?

Big difference here, Robinho has proven, clearly, by his play and his exact words he does not want to be at City. Joe has never said "I do not want to play at City" and he has never dogged a game. Comparing apples and bombs there mate.

This is to any of you, I have not heard or read much, but does Joe have any chance of playing in the World Cup? Is he going to get a shot in the two friendlies coming up or has it been given to Green to lose?

haven't heard anything. I would have thought that both will get a run out in the two friendlies so that Mr Beaker can assess them both over 90 mins each. Unless of course he has made his mind up, which i doubt.

Just thought I'd revisit this. I've changed my mind a bit after seeing this vid. Not sure he really wants to be a City player. I'll be suprised if he's City's number 1 next season.

I'm glad it's not just me that thinks that then. He sounds like a school kid, all nervous and asking daft questions that have already been answered in an earlier response

I am sure young Joe will return and focus on his career at City, settle back in, be happy, and further his career satisfactorily with us again.

And this was my opinion. However, any fool with a general idea on body language can see that Joe was comfortable with every question except the City one.

That is exactly how he has looked and sounded eversince Shay Given was signed. Not a happy camper and doesn't want to be in City I feel.

Was thinking the same after I watched that. Keeps mentioning how good the time at Birmingham was playing regular football, etc. ...

I think MCFC have some serious sweet talking to do, I just hope we can convince him to stay, he is absolutely terrific and I have to say I would rather have him than Given now, he's improved that much.

Plus there is still the question about when Given will actually be ready to play again and whether or not he will be the same.
