If the unthinkable happens

And we fail to finish fourth, do you think we should go all out for the Europa cup or concentrate on the title. Personally, I'd have 2 teams to fight on both fronts, but more importantly keep the strongest squad for the title challenge

Even if the 'thinkable' happens there's a chance we'd end up in the Europa anyway. And we ought to have a squad capable of challenging on several fronts.

Let's all post what we don't like about Mancini.
Is mancini the man?
What happens if we don't make 4th?
What do we do if the unthinkable happens?

It's like that fuclin TV programme where those two old women go scrabbling round a kitchen in the search for bacteria and dirt. If they dig deep enough, they'll find some shit to dig up.

I get the feeling that some on here seem to only get an erection if they can analyse shit.

You're right, I'm finished stirring shit. From now on, I'll just post that I'm delighted with the way my team play and that I think if we don't finish fourth when we have two home games on the bounce to all but achieve that, that it won't be for the want of trying and that it will be because everything else went against us.

Fuck that John. I'll be disappointed if we don't achieve fourth, but I'll be fuming if its because we threw it away out of a new fear that has swept over the squad.

I know for a fact we CAN finish fourth. In fact, I know we could do it in style. But what's the problem with having reservations mate? To be honest, plenty of times on here, I've posted reservations and someone in the thread helps rest my mind because they have a counter argument that makes sense.

There's hope and then there's confidence. I have plenty of hope.

The unthinkable?? Pretty simple, it is unthinkable to Villa and Spuds that we will beat them with a borrowed, spare, 3rd string keeper from a mid-table club. So if the unthinkable happens, I will quite chuffed.

i've always thought us finishing 4th was the unthinkable.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

Dub Mate...you know I love you but FFS...We are having the best season since most of the posters on here were born. We are on the edge of qualifying for the CL, for the 1st time since it was the European Cup in 1968. We are in danger of finishing in our highest ever Prem League position and we have already earned more Prem points than any previous City team. Our League record is only just short of what it was in 1969 when we won the League and better than in 1937, when we were also Champions. This is our best season we have hqad for many many years...
....AND SOME ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO BLAME!!!!!!!!...IF IT'S ALL MANCINI'S FAULT...THANKS MANCIO.

I love the fact we were taken over too. I love the fact we're in with a shout of fourth. I love it even more that fourth is in our own hands.

I HATE the fact that I'm not CONFIDENT about it. Its just not me mate.

I promise i'll keep my reservations in check from now until I know its either been achieved or lost. It seems I have upset a few by giving my honest view, so I'll duck out for a while and stop filling the board with my negativity.

I just wish it was Saturday already.

Later.

I agree with John here. There's so much negativity around the City fans at the moment and it's not just on here. You can tell when your at the match because the atmosphere is shite, it's quiet, it's nervy and there's a sense of impending doom. Negativity is easily transmitted around a crowd of people, it's easier to transmit to other people than positivity is because i've tried to gee up the people around me at the match to start singing and supporting the lads but to no avail.
We've gone from the best fans in the land to the most depressed, moaning bunch of fuckers in the league. Fuck extending the ground, i say make it smaller and allow only the most vocal back in. Boo-boys and the depressed self-harmers can fuck off to Stockport if they want somat to moan at.
What if this happens? what if that doesn't happen? who shall we blame when it doesn't happen? Blah blah fuckin blah.#'
Fuck-all will happen if we don't pull our fingers out and make Eastlands the cauldron of noise it should be to intimidate the opposition players & fans and make Spurs & Villa shit-scared to ever try taking our CL place from us ever again.

When the thinkable happens and we qualify for Europe we should be able to, and we should, build a team that can challenge both for the domestic trophies.

We sure are getting something right. This is Sheikh Mansour;s first full season as owner, not his 5th or his 10th but his first. And it been our best fucking season since well whenever. Even if we don't finish 4th credit must go to them for their stewardship this season and to the two managers we have had in charge and to the players in what is basically their first full season playing together. Mistakes were made and not everything was as we would wish but come on guys its not hard to see the positives!

I've just checked the table and I don't think we will be relegated but I'm not very good with numbers and I can't be sure so I'm going to slit my wrists just in case.
