However I could see him taking an offer from somebody else if they do offer to spite us now. Either way hes definetly not gonna be at scouse blue comes September 1st.

Who else is gonna bid 20m plus for him?

Who says they will bid that?? I think to spite us he would except a lesser bid.

Many more results like today's and Moyes won't be part of the decision making progress much longer

I hope he holds onto the lad for a bit longer then as Everton falling apart can only be good for us.

Moyes thinks he is in charge but if he accepted a bid less than we have already made he would either be sacked or over-ruled or most likely both. Moyes can get arsey about being the boss but he has a responsibility to the shareholders and they would have perfect grounds to terminate his contract on grounds of gross misconduct if he allowed his petulance to impact on a commercial decision.

I thought that today we still created so much pressure on ourselves - totally self-inflicted - we need Lescott - and why oh why was Micah selected in front of Zabba - 1 good tackle which people rave about and then it was same old same old

So to sum it all up;

We want Lescott,
Moyes Wants Lescott,
Lescott wants City,
Kenwright wants money,
We get Lescott,
We get Moyes,
Everton get Leslie,
Everton get money,
We get fancy tin pots,
Everton get relegated...

Yeh, me too. Was very pleased to see how well Micah played today. He's obviously worked hard on getting closer to his man quicker, not throwing himself in, and stopping the crosses. I thought he defended really well today.

Micah was selected as much for his heading ability as his ability as a full back. GIven the way BBurn play that sounds like a good decision to me.And he had a good game.

Lescott will be ours very soon, it is quite clear Everton need the money to strengthen and we are the only club with cash to give them. Moyes should not try to keep a player that has handed in a written transfer request AND has approached him before the game to say his head isn't right so leave me out. Moyes is being stubborn beyond belief and they got what they deserved yesterday.

I'm suprised the "buy out the contract" situation hasn't arisen yet. Surely would cost a lot less than 20 odd million ?

WE LOVE YOU RICHARD DUNNE!!

Haha, he's in mine too.

I'd love it if we just pulled out of the negotiations now, and took Jo back with us, just to spite them. Then again, based on Jo's performance yesterday, it's probably better that he stays there!

Never done this before and only reason I am is because the source of this told me abot the Tevez deal a couple of weeks before it was announced. I didn`t want to share that info with you as i didn`t want to look a cock. Now the source seems reliable I`ll tell you what I was told re Lescott. By the way I`ve not read the threads on Lescott as they were tooooo long so if this has already been shared..sorry in advance. Lescott was told to hand in a transfer request and any loyalty/signing on bonus lost(figure quoted is around 10% of purchase) City will pay. This certain source has also confirmed neverton are playing hardball on the fee. I suppose it`s not rocket science what they told me but that`s it. Expected within this week not on last day of window. Hope this doesn`t bite me on the arse

Not wanting to be picky but you say this guy told you about Tevez two weeks before it was announced? Everyone in football knew it was a done deal from the moment he turned united down, did he give some specific info that no-one else had?

Lescott is the missing piece of the puzzle everybody we sign afterwards is to keep that puzzle together.

Like I said it`s not rocket science(is that hard for you to grasp). A bold prediction is "we will beat rags 10 nil". However thats not gonna happen so I won`t BOLDLY predict it. I` have posted this in good faith for the "are we, aren`t we" people on this site. If it`s so obvious do you know something that you`d care to enlighten us with. As for Tevez the statement on the club site was to save face with fans due to him being worshipped by them. KJ kept taggart informed of new offers and he made sure with add ons they fell short, in the words of a red nosed twat "he doesn`t score enough". Check my previous posts, i usually just chip in. I`m not a WUM or infromation glory hunter. I held back on the Tevez stuff because if it didn`t happen I would look a cock. This transfer is expected this week rather than on dead line day. Source is a league manager.

Hey Simon - thanks for the info. If your source is a League manager rather than a Premier League manager then we would question how he came by the information and was prepared to pass it on but was not able to give anything more specific.

The apparent incongruity of course is Moyes' position on this. If he wanted to negotiate he has gone about it in a very strange manner. He has stated that he makes the decisions and Lescott is not for sale. Yet you say Everton are just playing hardball over the fee. If the latter is true it virtually makes Moyes position untenable and if negotiations about the transfer were in fact taking place then Moyes will have to back track big style or quit. Any info from your source on what Moyes will do?
