From a neutral point of view, Croatia was shite. They are stuck in the nostalgia for Modric and Perisic, but the truth is they cannot perform at this level. Gvardiol was all over the place, I think we need to keep him as a left back.

England was decent, but Croatia wasn't the same as it was 4 years ago.

Fair summary. I would add as Carl said earlier, Tuchel was aggressive with the subs and wanted more rather than protecting what they had which is refreshing. More to come and we definitely need to sort the defending out.

I can t understand shit out of this competition, but if England have a route same as Arse in the European Cup, they are bound to reach the semis.

Looking at what I've seen so far I don't think the route matters too much.
The favourites were France and Spain, France were very much like us 1st game- poor 1st half, looked dodgy at the back then played well 2nd half. Spain's 1st game was embarrassing as was Portugal's. Good start by Messi, Mbappe, Erl and Kane although I think Kane was very lucky to have the pen retaken.

South Africa will bite the bullet today with the Czechs running out winners, England played well yesterday and on their day they can perform against any team it's all about if they keep it together.

Thought we did well last night. Second half showed a change of tempo, suspect Tuchel put a few fucks into them. Our defence looked shaky for most of the game. Nico and Stones weren't the best but James wasn't either . Need to do much better. Always thought Pickford is too short to make a really good keeper and he was poor on some crosses. Bellingham, Kane, Anderson did well, Rice and Gordon as well. Thought Rice could have passed it to Gordon more than he did, too negative but he put in some great corners. Madueke also deserves a mention.
Their keeper was Man of the Match for me , he had a great game.
Rashford apart from his goal didn't do much for me .

Can do without the big bird playing noughts and crosses at half time. It would be much better if speak clearly, avoid jargon and didn't look like the back of a bus

Yep agree with you on that. I wasn't impressed with James either. Amazingly the genius Stuart Pearce ( the man who managed us to no home goals from New Years Day) thought he was MOTM

Didn’t like both CB’s Stones off the pace & didn’t cover his self in glory for their first goal, slow to close down the forward. That said the team looked better second half.

Always think that Rice takes one touch too many and is hesitant with his passing. Suppose its because we've been spoiled watching Rodri, KDB & Silva for so long.

Rather enjoyed the game but that defense will give your argentinas, France et al an absolute field day, it needs looking at.
Not that I am biased in any way but I’d rather see Guehi and Trafford in the 1st team

Prickford is an accident just waiting to happen. Trafford should be starting.
