I don't know, there were a few games last season where he started to look like the old Rodri again. I was uld.rather keep him for another 3 years, he is quality and it's not about pace, so the age card isn't as bad for him.

Funny one this. No-one better in his role in the lead up to him winning the balon. Since his injury we've seen rare glimpses of his former self. More often he's looked well off the pace. I get he's never been about pace but he's not shown enough to convince me that he will ever get back to his former heights. Part of me thinks he had an eye on the WC, but I'm now thinking if we can get decent wedge for him, I'd do the deal.

He grew up with Athleti, one might think he would go back there after City, or even Villarreal, where he was before coming to City rather than the corruptables

Very likely his best years are behind him. He doesn't want to sign an extension, if we get a decent offer he can toddle off. Or else we get zero in 12 months.
I think he will leave this summer, we will accept 20 or 30mill for him.

We’ve had his best years. No way is he gonna be like what he was. And with one year left it’s the only business decision that makes sense.
We kept KDB on for a year or two too long. Letting people go at the right time and price is possibly as difficult as recruitment in the first instance
