Purpose Built Womens Stadiums

What exactly are they?

Smaller seats?

More tampax machines?

Signs to explain the offside rule all around the stadium?

I’d say bigger seats - never see so many fat arses from the female population in the UK.

Found it quite interesting that the media were making a big song and dance about Brighton building a stadium just for their women's team and they never once mentioned City ladies having the Joie stadium to themselves at City. I know technically it's shared with the academy but there was no mention of all the good City do for the women's game

Exactly , not against women's footy, but it should stand on it's own. Pretty much all of the elite women's teams have been formed and funded off the back of the men's game. A girl who comes with us used to play for city ladies in the 80s nothing like it is today. It would be nowhere without the men's game.

We used have a member on here who was goalie for our womens team, until it became professional, iirc she got dropped like a sack of spuds as she wanted continue her career.

Tbf to City, they don't ram womens footie down our throats as much by having different sections on web site mens, women's, academy and so on unlike the Beeb who go out of the way promoting the women's game. That will probably change when the likes od sky get hold of the TV rights which beeb currently have.

For clarity, I very rarely keep up with EDS/youth either.

There have been days where on the beeb you struggle to find Premiership/championship/UCL news.

One of the biggest problems the womens game faces is getting other women interested in football and sport in general, OK they are good at going to the Olympics and big events but don't want to really know in the hard slog of a league that lasts the full year around.

That being said what is different about these stadiums? Are they pink? Do they seats taste of gin?

Andie was a quality outfield player too, she used to play 5 a side with us and gave as good as she got physically and had a decent shot on her too.

Will they have those female urinals like some cities in northern italy where women have to stretch across and urinate in a hole in the ground?

Long drop - my first experience of those was in Turkey as the men’s toilettes had them - Took me two shits in my trousers to get the hang of it.

Had PTSD for a while afterwards.

Haha. Should have seen the mess when we went to Napoli in the chumps league when Sergio broke the goal scored record, looked like a dirty protest from H block. Everywhere but the hole in the floor.

Most people play sport because they enjoy it, they actually pay to compete in the sport that they like. The problem with trying to monetising a fringe sport like women's football is that their target audience in the main couldn't give a fuck and mainly it's because of the dire quality of it compared to a professional male.

They've saturated the advertising for this now, they've had it on TV for free we have been bombarded with event information at the matches but their attendances still stagnate other than the odd aberration or two. Even just narrowing down our attendances which are down by a thousand or so even though we look like we are going to win the league it doesn't make sense.

In short the wanting to be treated the same doesn't really apply when this inclusivity stick is being used to piggyback men's football for another minority gain.

No interest in women's football. As long as it doesnt leech money out of a struggling men's game they can do what they want. But as others have said it should be self supporting. It pisses me off that headline pages in the media, BBC, our own club site mix the male and female games

I get the feeling they'd make this happen if they could get away with it.

Like Carl I have traumatic memories of those hole in floor toilets on a fookin mountain, squating in full ski gear so your shit went down the hole and not in your salapets was taxing to say the least!!

That was in the early 90's, couldn't fookin do that now!

The old toilets behind the Kippax were worse than any hole in the ground. Wading through 2 inches of piss and half eaten pies. The women's toilets were probably slightly better.
