My Brother got married when City won against the scouse in the mid seventies (at Maine Rd.) both my mum and dad were annoyed missing the match.
That was selfish of him , about 30 City fans had to miss the match.
We had live reporting sent to us by Aldiss Lamps

My first game against them was 5 May 96. Not a very enjoyable afternoon.

No one wants to get injured, and when a serious enough n injury happens ,you simply can’t fucking play - it’s as simple as that.
We all vent out of pure frustration when a player we respect keeps getting sidelined and becomes a sick note ,I’m one of the worst on this site for slating them especially with players I really like.
Stones has been immense for us and will be remembered as one of our best-ever defenders - that’s an indisputable fact.
Meanwhile there are some players you wouldn’t give a shit about when they’re injured because they offer fuckall anyway (Savinho springs to mind). Stones, on the other hand, got heavily criticised precisely because he was needed in almost every game.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Players can't help serious injuries but with minor ones some players will play through the pain barrier as Laporte did in our last title when we were desperate for centre backs the last few games and others like JS will only play when he feels 100%.
A great player no doubt but he's played about 180 games in 10 years when we've been playing about 60 games a season.
Maybe we could name the treatment room after him.

Maybe the club/ manager should take the majority of the blame then as they still persisted with him even though he was on the treatment table more often than not.
Should really have been sold couple of seasons ago.

Maybe the country/ international manager should take the blame as they persisted with him on the last international break and he came back injured.
Can't see who'd buy him with his injury record, he'll go on a free and get a deal based on appearances.

His next move will probably depend whether he is fit and plays in the world cup. Given his injury record I wonder whether he's even considering making the move into coaching. He seems to have a great understanding and reading of the game - he often appears to be on Pep's wavelength, wonder whether there's been any consideration of getting him on the coaching staff if he doesn't get a contract to play anywhere

Or put the Statue in the Treatment room itself, sort of like a St. Christopher thingy.
