I see some shite and want to call it out, but knowing that if I do that, I am helping them. Its gone from a very good funny platform to a platform full of toxicity and gets worse and worse now musk has allowed a no holds barred, everything goes, on there.
Social media platforms should be called social parasites.
As bad as Twitter can be, TikTok feels like the absolute pit of human depravation. I can barely even describe how low the bar is there. Working in communications with brands, I sadly see social media as part of the day-to-day, and it just keeps getting worse.
I ran a small football experiment online last year on a side project I have. I created a fictional footballer, built a fake story about how incredible he was, and then revealed he wasn’t real. The goal was simple: to test whether people would verify information from multiple sources and to ask them to do that with the amount of fake news here. The reactions were wild. Half the comments were positive, the other half asked for more details or tried to dig into the player’s history. Some insisted he was real, and even received private messages with threats.![]()
It was a stark reminder of how quickly misinformation spreads, and how emotionally invested people can get in a completely fabricated story. I am dreading of what is coming next.
Bluesky is an abomination of a platform with only one view and no other, it's an open advert for lefty liberal incels who would commit murder wholescale if their wrists were strong enough.
