These second half displays are honestly doing my crust in. We are clueless

Cherki had some fantastic touches today. Everything is so effotless.

Makes a big difference when the opposition are trying to press you hard and you have a player that is confident to receive it in any situation regardless of how many players he has around him.

I’m going to be shouted down, but I thought we played that second half wisely. We conceded some ball and played on the counter. Really we did to them what they did to us first half, we just wasted the chance to kill it off too many times.

It’s coming all. We are gathering steam.
Tracking back is overrated.

To be fair Newcastle hardly created anything the second half, half chances at best and Semenyo or Nouri should have put the game to bed. It was nervy but fair play to the lads. Leeds next.

If someone thinks it's ridiculous to say we over compilcate the game and don't take advantage of dead ball situations , they can kiss my arse. An open game that we managed to just about win.
Missed some very good opportunities in both halves

Alt Nouri finishes about as good as Kyle Walker
Cherki, did nothing of note except fuck up a through ball to lay on a great shooting chance
Marmoush had enough chances as did Semenyo to put us out of sight
Short goal kicks are not our forte, Donna has a decent boot on him use it. Free kicks need to go forward but we seem to love sideways short passes then lose it in midfield or we surrender territory and end up in our box ,

Newcastle made us sweat tonight with no real skill or tactics but they utilised long free kicks and passes and had 2 guys willing to chase in Elanga and Gordon.
Burn was lucky to stay on the pitch but we had Silva being stupid so that kinda levels it out.

Joelinton on Semenyo, straight red for me, short arm challenge on Rodri also naughty, Pull back on Silva the softest of the 3 that i counted to get a yellow. Nasty cunt.

Enjoyable first half albeit end to end and it shouldn't have been. Second half once again, groundghog day. Happy with the 3 points annoyed we make avaerage teams look good

Can't blame Pep for anything today I think most of us would have played the same cards. We are where we are regarding personel and Newcastle came at us 2nd half and forced us to play an unfamiliar game trying to counter attack.

I'm assuming you are taking the piss regards to Cherki. He's on a par with that other french tosser Nasri. If Cherki dyes his hair blond , he'll have cracked it

I thought Cherki was brilliant, set Semenyo and Noiri to score good chances and he worked hard off the ball.
