Leaves you a bit cold but that's the nature of the game now.

He cost us £15million not sure we will recoup initial outlay if he’s not developing

I bet you a pound to a penny we will get 30 million for him at least, my personal opinion is that he was bought for exactly this which is a profit.

i can't see Echeverri was bought just to bank a few million after selling him on a year later.
His potential is still huge and although it didn't work out in Germany i think he may do better in Girona.

We played a few youngsters yesterday and they all did well. It would have been brilliant to see Echeverri come on instead of Bernado in the second half. That game was an ideal to see what he can do.
The lad is far too good to sell on. Pep has been shown that the kids at the club are worth filtering into the first team games

We didn't buy those youngsters for big money and then loan them out and forget about them, we make a fortune selling players from our academy it's a business. He wont play for us again he is being sold he has only played one game for us and that was only a cameo.

He's 20 years old and Pep doesn't rate him, he'' if he plays Savio ahead of him you know what the mindset is/was.

Just waiting for the right offer, one cameo in the WCC and off he pops.

Maybe we fucked up and can't sell him?

well your entitled to your opinion. We will wait and see
Sav is nearly 2 years old so in theory further along the maturity road. Fact is Echeverri has been loaned out so he's behind a few players. (Echeverri has made 3 appearances for the first team albeit not full games and looked good in all of them)

I don't want to labour the point mate but this is his playing time, hell we even plucked him up before he was even fully cooked at River Plate.

I don't want to labour the point , so i fucking will, lol. I'm well awate we signed him before his balls drop and loaned him back. Playing 30 times for River Plate and at several junior leavels for Argentina would suggest, to me at any rate, that he was bought with the future in mind. The fact that we have push him out to Germany and then onto Girona means Pep thinks he's not ready for us yet. If he aint getting game time he's at the wrong loan clubs. Personally i like what i see and i think our scouts did as well. If we don't keep him or take him back in the summer, it will be a big mistake. He will be a superb player. The fact that Pep doesn't want him means fuck all. He wouldn't know potential if it hit him in the face. He likes his players ready made. I'd struggle to name players he's made great. If he saw the young lad as a right back, he'd be with us next week. He's probably going for a quadruple after Alvarez, Palmer, Grealish

Seems he's played in 6 of the 7 games since he's been there, though all from the bench - his average rating has been pretty poor and he's been booked in 3 of his last 4 games which is unusual for an attacking midfielder.

* 23 Feb 2026 (Dep. Alaves, A): 7.1

He was on the telly last night, played a few minutes, but he looked lost.
Only a miracle will keep him here next summer and, to be honest, he doesn't deserve it. I think he should have stayed, but the plan is not going well for him and Nypan. Is the norwegian available for the u21 team?

The other one played also, Reis. Scored an own goal, but he looks good, but again, don't think he will be recalled.

He's totally fucked himself by having his agent pick Leverkusen rather than where the club wanted him to go.

He has got time to recover. Pre season might be his second chance.

And a new agent.

He came on as a 70th minute sub in his last game and got a goal and assist against Bilbao, which will hopefully help him get a starting spot.
