Arne Slot (Liverpool FC): "You asked me what do you think about the decision I thought ‘what do you mean?’
“Do you mean the disallowed goal at City? The header from us? Do you mean the penalty they got in the away game against us?
"Do you mean the clear red card on Mo Salah in the second half? Do you mean the penalty they got in the second half? Do you mean this decision?
"So only over two games, and the fans who follow Liverpool know how many decisions like this I can come up with in all the other games as well.

On Saturday night Nick Ball was defending his WBA featherweight crown in his home city of Liverpool. He was stopped in the 12th round and the crowd then started throwing beer and other objects into the ring. This is not surprising, Liverpool as a city has become the embodiment of victimhood. Never their fault, our guy was robbed, never mind what else the ref got wrong only what we didn't get. I've never been to the city and I never will, I'm a massive Beatles fan but even my love of them won't allow me to go to this cesspit.

Riddick Bowe had that problem too, always scrapping even if he won lost or drew.

Very happy with the result, but delighted with the attitude & display of guts that totally surprised me. I thought (wrongly) that we lacked the balls to win a game like that especially in that cesspit in front of the most disgusting people on the planet. Bernardo what a man he is fantastic.

There was a lot of them who showed the balls besides Bernardo.
Guehi who getting hammered all game for having the nerve to turn them down and come to us was unbelievable. One on ones, blocks, passing, heading, the lot.
Donna with his distribution under pressure as well as that save at the end.
O'Reilly, after scoring at The Bernabou puts in a performance like that at Klanfield.
And biggest balls of the lot- Erling with that pen in stoppage time after a delay like that and knowing the importance- unbelievable.

Spot on. Erling has had some stick but to step up and take that he's shown a lot of bottle.

Guèhi was quality!

Huge shout-out to Nunes as well - bombing forward to get the pen. He's made RB his own

Big shout to Khus before the injury also. He reminds me of Zaba, would go through a wall.
Can't see Dias playing in front of those two at the moment. Pitty, because a couple of seasons ago he was one the worlds best.

I think Guehi is a fantastic player & yeah great save from Donna, O’Reilly brilliant, but I highlighted Bernardo because he sometimes gets stick & I really respect his commitment

You know at that shithole it’s watching the wankers to your right and the banter/abuse. Winning at Clanfield. Haaland at our end was insane. Pep players staff all doing a Jose sprinting down the touch line. EPIC mate.

I've given Bernardo plenty of stick myself but fair do's he was superb but i don't think he's had half the stick Erling has which is incredible when you look at his numbers.
People saying he doesn't do it in big games is insane when you think he's cored hat tricks against united, scored home and away against Arsenal and Liverpool, 2 against Madrid last season, goal away at Madrid this season.
The more you look at that assist for Bernardo yesterday the better that header looks.

Surprising what a gutsy fighting performance can do. At one stage i thought we were going down after 70 mins. After the first goal it really bcame a ding dong game and we got back into it. On reflection i can understand why the third goal was disallowed and it went the way it did but most neutrals would have like the goal to stand in the spirit of the game.
I thought the ref let alot of grappling go unpunished , mainly from Liverpool but we weren't innocent. Thought Marmoush was grappled to the ground in the penalty area in the first half and i thought Van Dijk tackled on Haaland was a bad one. He got a yellow but wrapping both legs around a player , tackling from behind has been seen as red on occasion. Maybe i just dislike the preening complaining dick.

If VAR's going be all high and fucking mighty following 'the rules' to the letter and chalk off that goal for Haaland's retaliatory shirt pull (which only happened because their player dragged him first), then every single shirt pull and tug in the box on corners and free kicks should be a fucking pen every single time then !!!.
But we know that will never happen as they allow 90% of that wrestling shit slide week in week out. It's bullshit selective enforcement that's what it is !!—strict when it fucks us over or completely blind when it's convenient.
VAR's killed the game, full stop. Inconsistent refs hiding behind so called 'protocol'. Absolute joke.

Can you all imagine if we needed that goal to win the match ??!! Nuclear fallout.

I've never given Bernardo any shit (That I can recall )as the little bastard always gives it his absolute all in every single match. Haaland, on the other hand, has deserved every bit of the grief he's been getting from fans lately. He's been putting in a fraction of the effort Bernardo's been showing—that's just a fact.
Hopefully that massive win last night has galvanized the team and woken everyone up. But someone needs to sit Cherki down and have a proper word - it's a team game , When the pass is on, fucking pass it! Same goes for Ait-Nouri—stop holding onto it and pass the fucking ball to someone who's got a better chance of scoring.

Still Buzzing.
