Missed it but winning in that matter on one of the most difficult grounds in England means we are slowly getting our act together.

We are going to win it.

Got away with it today. There are grounds where we won’t, dipperland for example, for all their issues, we never get anything there. The guy Wharton is very good, wouldn’t mind him in our midfield.

Saw the highlights and it looks like the usual stuff, we are ripped open on the back, but either they miss or Gigio saves it.
Usually last year this was going on every time.

But I agree, we are short of two elite midfielders imho.

In the main he was great, especially his assist for Phil. Quite a flicks and back heels as well.

Said to brother oh fuck Sav ciing on but fair play he got a penalty for us, so cannot complain.

Sadly no improvemenrr from Reijnders.

Cherki was great, toss up between him and Nunes for MOTM.
Nico G struggled big style today

I thought Nico G played quite well, we had Foden and Reijnders having a very quiet game today.

He kept getting caught in possession. Nearly cost us a few times

Not all the time. They even wiped him out when he looked threatening going towards their area.

Although he has played better recently

Foden looks more quiet, because he's dropping deeper. He's more involved in our defending and early build up than we're used to. But still bloody important. And no withstanding he still managed to get on the score sheet.

^^^^^^

yep, that was a great goal with good work for the assist by Cherki.

The commentators picked up on how Cherki is looking so much fitter this season already. Bodes well for the run in.

Nunes gave the ball away TWICE as he wanted to dribble his way out of trouble - on another day that puts us 2 nil down - not his fault the manager still plays him where hes never going to excel in and no way he was anywhere near MOTM

Cherki on the other hand........100% MOTM.

Nunes made the first goal with a fantastic cross, started the move for the second with a great tackle. He gave it away very early doors then was tremendous. Nico G, Dias, Bernardo gave it away in far more dangerous moments

So we've just won 3 nil. AWAY. At a half decent team.

And we want to put their midfield instead of ours?

LOL

We beat Madrid away, would you have none of their players?

The highlights are misleading. Every chance palace had in that first half would have been offside, but obviously the rules state you don't halt play until the attack is dead. The only real chance was Wharton's snapshot that hit the outside of the post in the second half. Apart from that Mateta was crap and Nketiah wasn't any good either.

Wharton is a good player. Not sold on him though, looks great in a half decent palace team, would he be an improvement on what we have?? Not so sure.

Wharton had a 70.8 pass completion rate yesterday - he'd have been second worst if playing for City. I know people like to pretend he's great with the ball, but the stats show otherwise. I'd worry about him in our midfield if he's giving the ball away that much.

Highlights on Beeb or sky always have their Agendas. The only thing that can be trusted is the live streams.

And luckily most of their chances went to him as his finishing is horrendous.

Waa talking about him during the game. He keeps the ball moving, I will give him that. Is he better than Nico G, no for me. We need more legs Anderson is a better option if we're not bringing the Argie kid back
