No Gobber in the studio today for Sky. Have we actually had a word with the twats and banned him?

Shame O’Reilly got the assist for Doku’s goal in some respects. Nico G’s switch pass across the pitch was perfect and deserved better recognition

Different team. I think they are in a bad way.

Been watching at my son's place as we are in between houses and the idiotic organisation that is EE/BT switched off my SKY/Now TV on the 3rd.

Nothing else, just Sky Sports, they don't know how, they can't switch it back on until we complete on new house.

But got to see it all, great performance. No complaints except Sav, as Mase says, he's still shite :D

We're back in the game

The goal where we worked it out of an impossible position in our bottom left back position was out of this world. I was saying 'kick it out you silly bastard'. What do I know?

Did Sly replay that, I didn't see it?

Doku was outstanding and the back four very impressive in their shape. Gvardiol’s passing was off but defensively did well. But the midfield played well, Nico G and Bernardo were all over the pitch snapping at their heels. Big underwhelmed with Cherki but he wasn’t poor. Just wasn’t as good as the other night.

Pep seems to regained his mojo as well. I’m beginning to think we’ll have him for a few more years yet

We definitely didn't need to buy Aït Nouri this summer - O'Reilly is absolutely class

I wonder if the plan is for O’Reilly to replace Bernardo?

stop ! it is a squad game, we need good back ups in all positions.

Nico is blossoming at the moment. let's hope he stays injury free.

Watching a recording of the game niet. That first goal was ridiculously good. We were stuck at our own corner flag but somehow managed to play through their very agressieve pressing ( great work by Nico, Phil and Doku). And that cross by Nunes was superb.

He was in an offside position but that doesnt fucking matter these days. The question is whether he's actively involved in the play. He didnt touch the ball so did he interfere with our keeper? Not so clear cut, could have gone either way. If it was City i'd be arguing for it. So i'd still say we were smiled on from on high.

From the snippets i saw we seemed to be playing with a much quicker tempo. Certainly more direct play down the wings. Has Cherki made the difference, FOden getting his form back or has Pep realised his style needed to change.
Great result beating scousers by 3 goals, doesn't happen often and great to see Van Dyck and Robertson crying. Thought the scousers actions during the penalty was shithousery at its finest. Couldnt have helped Haaland ( although he does miss a few)

As i wrote earlier, if passive , the ball would have hit him and therefore offside. Since he ducked he didn't remain passive and therefore offside.

No way of knowing that before the season started. An excellent bonus, though. Still think we will see him more centrally in the future. He had all the skills and physical attributes to make it.

Not sure a player has deserved a goal more than Nico G did today. I am so happy to be wrong about him and his turnaround has been magnificent. Another second season under Pep gem.

Doku on nights like that is literally the best winger in the world. 2-3 players at a time not getting near him against the champions who kept Madrid out earlier in the week. What a player.

Haaland give the penalties up, you don’t need them anyway you fucking legend.

That back 4/5 with Donna is perfect. Keep playing them Pep.
Tracking back is overrated.
