Marmoush and O Reilly provided the most exciting break of the game. DOKU was pointless. Haaland, ne er got a sniff the way we lined up. Played KDB all fucking game yet he was comparatively poor.
Over 300 passes in last 3rd compared with 30 . Only their 2nd clean sheet in 47.
Score if you can was their tactic and we didnt set up to do it, didnt change things soon enough and put out a team that was ring rusty and fucking clueless. I have despaired at times watching this shit show of passing across the back from wing to wing in a C shape. Boring to watch, ineffective and to what end. A win today and in a dominant position for champions league. That’s just given Villa and forest a huge lift now thinking that they can get champions league spot. They now play twice before us again in league and we could be looking at a must win against Bournemouth 3days after a cup final who been rested for10 days.

The team selection puzzling at best with the changes in starting positions, Foden and McAtee neither would have filled us with confidence that they would get us something and start out of nowhere . The changes too late. The give it to Doku every time tactic when it’s not working is embarrassing from the manager and the players. I couldn’t name one of them that you would say played better than decent all game. We are unrecognisable as a team from last season for first two months of season. So slow , so predictable, so easy to work out and nullify even by the worst premier league team in a decade.

The worst part is despite us being desperate for the win when it finishes your glad it’s over because it was so fucking boring to watch would have been better off sat in the garden watching the fucking grass grow.

Totally agree with that, he’s a narcissistic twat. He came to the premier league with plan A which worked for much longer than it should have, thankfully. Plan A now no longer works, and hasn’t all season. So we’ve all been waiting for plan B and there isn’t one, it’s plan A over and over and over again and it’s come to the point where even the Saints, the worst them the PL has seen in many a long year can scupper it. The treble team was the pinnacle of his success and it was brilliant obviously, but we’ve been in a rapid decline ever since. You know i'm starting to not give a fuck.
Nearly 60 years following City, i've watched my fair share of poor football. I always had the fact we had no money, struggled to get talent, good players and teams were like diamonds in the rough and a rarity.
This isnt the case now. Our football is poor, boring and at times inexcusably wasteful. We have a talented squad. Even players i slag off as being shite this season, aren't that bad. Plenty of managers will get a good tune out of them but our 'best in the world' manager is struggling. When we had injuries we bought 3 players in, young talented, where are they? never used or tried and put away to be loaned or sold at a loss. Grealish, Echeverri, Gonzalez, Reis, Khusanov, must all be thinking why did i fucking sign. Marmoushooks promising but is pissed about. SAVINHO looked good then faded, Doku? The jury is out and Nunes at Right back? Just starting to do ok, would have been good out there today but he puts Lewis back in who was poor.
We really dont know what we are doing, the club is a mess in my opinion. The remaining games are not givens, i can see us losing everyone of them. Pep said they were all Cup finals till the end of the season. Next weekend will be a real treat for us
