Does anyone seriously think Khusanov would have scored the winner against Villa? He is neither an RB nor a Right wing back. He’ll get plenty of playing time in the years to come. Dias has serious competition now which is good.

Stones and Akanji seem okay with it. Khush is rapid, can’t see him being any worse than Nunes.

I think the main thing is we're unbeaten since he has been out of the side and we've finally been playing a settled back 4. I don't think there needs to be any falling out or conspiracy or anything sinister

He was chucked in at the deep end when he arrived out of necessity and has been taken back out now we're not so desperate.

i'm sure he'll have a great City career as he has so ,much potential and has impressed so far

I dont see an issue with Khusanov playing right cb or RB. Plenty of good players in the past have interchanged between these positions and been good in both. Nunes is getting better but is barely adequate and has been exposed defensively. Just because his name is on the sheet at RB and we have won the game doesnt mean things cant be improved. Nunes was not bought to defend and he cant defend. Khusanov eas bought to defend, he has explosive speed and is youngvenough to learn a simple shift to RB. Dias can help him.

Actually the perfect time to ease him in, whilst we’re winning and the defence is doing well.

Posters complaining about players playing out of position happy to see Khusanov play right wing back ( the only vacancy). Ridiculous.

The only vacancy is Right back. 'Wing' referring to how he plays or combines with midfield and forwards. Walker was referred to as a wing back. He couldnt cross , couldn't shoot and had fuckall ball control. His second touch was a tackle. He did have pace to burn though and covered our arse when we lost possession in foreign territory. No reason Khusanov can't try out at rightback. Its alot easier for a defender to attack than it is for a forward to defend. Nunes is not the answer at RB but he may look better in midfield with someone covering behind. Peps insistence on juggling players positions is arrogance. I cant think of any major success this experimentation has had

A defender playing in defence? Bizarre concept isn’t it mate.

Would you rather a defender in defence or an attacking midfielder?

You’ve seen City long enough Mase. Fullbacks going back to the 6-1 at the swamp had Micah high up the pitch under Mancini. Peps the boss. I’m not overly bothered regarding Khusanov. The lad can fight for his place, nothing unusual about that. it’s City get used to it. On Nunes I would say, I liked him at Wolves, is he a fullback again I’m not sure, however he is growing on me as Mahrez did on you mate. At City you adapt it’s the way we play. Tough games keep coming tonight no easy game but I’m looking forward to that.

I've posted that when we signed him, I don't understand why we got a player who barely had 40 games in his career. Plus, there are language barriers and cultural differences.

I like him, he seems like a super nice fella, but what are we going to do? He is so young, he is at a time where he should play week in and out. Same with Reis. He should be loaned, both of them, but then you need to ask why did we pay 70 mil for them?

Also, we have a settled center back pair for a while now and we are on an unbeaten run. Coincidence?

Yep, but it will be interesting what are we going to do in the summer.
Stones needs to go and we need to fill that gap.

We could sign Darren Anderton and that would fill the gap

Stones goes.

Leaves Dias, Gvardiol, Khusanov and Reis

And Ake and Akanji if they are still here

More than enough

He’s 24 Captain of his club. Wanted by all of our rivals. We are interested according to reports, great on the ball and adds bite, I like him.

We've got 7 CBs already. Pep pretty well said we’re not going to buy a CB. You’d think that at least one CB will leave. Stones the most likely because of his injury record.

Who’s going to take Stones off us? He’s on £250k a week he’ll be staying for his final year on that massage table.
