Was Lavia that great for Saints?
He has potential that's for sure but he is not the finished article by any means

40m (+ add ons) is the fee being banded around for maddison.... he'd be a good buy for that kind of money

It russian roulette to be honest. I am more on the side if Kane stays this summer, he will sign an extension because of how stupid he is.

He was on (significantly) under £10K a week with us, and reportedly earns £25K as a basic salary at Southampton.

He's now in a position where he'd easily be able to demand upwards of £60K a week from any interested club, probably even £75K.

From a purely financial perspective, I know which I'd prefer.

Trouble is there are still question marks over 9 more players being sold or sent on loan although tbf most of those won't make much difference eg Cancelo, Gomez, Perrone, Palmer, Phillips - but if Bernardo, Walker, Laporte & Mahrez leave without top quality replacements it's serious
