I think the defence looked better when the midfield stepped up. I'd still love to see Toure and Lescott!

really? i felt just the opposite. i thought Dunne looked better in the 2nd half overall. very impressed with Toure for sure, but Dunne can't be our best option imo.

cheers

Not bothered about Lescott and he is overpriced. BUT..

If we get him now Moyes will have to go which is a win-win for us

I'd say the same. Except with sarcasm intended.

I've always thought that Lescott has been made to look good by Jagielka and Everton's defensive set-up
Hasn't he frequently been exposed playing for England?

Whats the bets Moyes will blame City for 'distracting' Lescott

That's my view, f* off Lescott for pissing us about and not putting a transfer request in early enough and stuff Everton by dropping interest in him.

I really think Moyes will sell him. If he feels Lescott's transfer is affecting the rest of the squad which i think it is then he's as good as ours

Lescott played a mare today and lets be honest can anyone here say they wouldn't play crap if your boss was keeping at your place of work against your will. He knows full well his only ticket out is to play pap, moyes won't sell unless his hand is well and truly forced.

Agree, I really can see Kenwright selling him above Moyes head, which in turn would see Moyes step down.

If you were buying a house and just as you were about to increase your offer you found out it needed a new roof and it was built on a mine shaft you would reduce your offer wouldn't you?

So what do we do now? We'll look like tits if we go back with a bigger offer for a player who has just had a game like that.

Go back to them and say "You had your chance at £18m but now its £15m take it or leave it. Of course if you leave it who knows how he will play between now and January but you may be out of Europe and in the relgation zone by then with no money to buy anyone. Maybe Lescott will play well between now and January or maybe he will get 'injured' but he wont be worth £15m or anything like it in January"

Yes it's bullying and not the tactics you would to see but we have done it the right way so far and they have just been silly. Time to wake up and smell the coffee Moyes. ps if you behave nicely we could probably find you a job at Carrington!

Apparently he asked Moyes to leave him out today cos he wasn't in the right frame of mind so obviously his heart isn't in it at the mo.
Bearing this in mind STILL THINK WE SHOULD UP OUR BID FOR HIM AND PUT THIS SAGA TO BED ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Today was all Moyes fault, as has been said above and in the Everton match thread. Lescott wants out, we want him. End of. Moyes has played this one like a stubborn child and Lescott gave him a big fuck you today. I'd have done the same. Thats football, thats life. I expect Lescott to make his debut against his former club Wolves next Saturday.
It has clearly disrupted the Everton dressing room as well. One todays performance they have much bigger problems than Lescotts departure. Jo is shite as well.

MOTD saying Lescott's gonna be a negative influence on the team and keeping him there now would be a huge mistake and none of them can see him there come the close of the window. However I could see him taking an offer from somebody else if they do offer to spite us now. Either way hes definetly not gonna be at scouse blue comes September 1st.

Who says they will bid that?? I think to spite us he would except a lesser bid.

Many more results like today's and Moyes won't be part of the decision making progress much longer
