Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

That’s the unknown isn’t it.
Unless there is an obvious replacement Pep should stay. Unless he himself wants out and as I’ve mentioned earlier I think he’s earned the right to dictate his terms of when he goes.
But go he will at some point. And just like Pep was in the pipeline a year or so before his appointment, it wouldn’t surprise me if candidates for his replacement has already been sounded out.
But he isn’t the be all and end all. No one is. The club will always be the focal point. And I very much doubt if the next guy will be as successful as Pep has been. Our era of dominance is closing out. The rags and Arsenal are coming back into the frame. Chelsea are rarely more than a couple of years away from challenging. Newcastle will be a threat in the coming years. Even the dippers won’t be in the doldrums for a long time.

Stupid comments about Pep and stupid thread. Pep has , though winning so many titles in the PL completely changed the game.
Don't agree, it's a timely discussion, today wasn't a blip. I do think the bottom line isn't a loss of form by individuals but that his method been worked out and countered in the PL. Pep changed the English game for sure and is struggling to find a solution now they've caught up.
No it is not a timely discussion. It's people who have got sweet FA to talk about trying to make it worse. There is still all to play for (except League cup).
Media, especially BBC put the spin on Liverpool having a bad twelve minutes yesterday, As some none Scouse fans pointed out , why not talk about the Wolves twelve minute purple patch ?
It is the same with Pep , he has built a great team and squad and everybody tries to look for something that isn't there. Pep doesn't lose dressing rooms , that is a silly idea.

Where else should we talk about Pep and the performances of his team?

Doesn’t help we don’t have a proper captain. I’m sure Fern or Kompany would have spoken to Pep by now. And if Pep has lost some of the senior players we need a captain to sort. We haven’t got that.

Doing well at Burnley
But that is a world apart from us. The two clubs and any success he gets at Burnley isn’t compatible. Yet. He’d need to prove himself at a far higher level than the championship to manage City

I think it's covered there too, let's hope the same problems don't overflow into here from future match threads then.

Pep went from Barca B straight in at Barca. Ferguson went from Aberdeen to the Rags. It can happen, just need owners to accept it may take a couple of years to see results.

Yeah, that’s my point. It can happen and work out. But we need to prepare ourselves that it MAY take a couple of seasons to work.

I think what he's trying to do with the hybrid back 3 / 4 is quite the tactical switch and its still taking some getting used to by most of them. That's why we've had such inconsistency.
I still confident it will all click into place soon enough and we'll go on a mad run of wins like we always do. We're litterally at the half way stage of the season fixture wise - it's a strange season so don't think we can expect the collosal number of points we are used to, but we'll still be too good for the rest and will finally get the European Cup hoodoo resolved

Wouldn't mind seeing Kompany taking over. Played at all levels, serial winner, tactically improving, great leadership. Arteta is not half the player and was assistant coach, not doing too bad is he? It's a gamble worth taking

We just needed to attack the outside in the first half instead of going inside EVERY SINGLE TIME.
We made them compact and went at their strength. Second half we mixed it up. Much better.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.
