Qatar, corruption, human rights abuses, etc... go hand in hand, out there in the open since their successful WC bid.
Very tempered responses from the media so far re Qatar potential investment in the PL. No outrage, no rants, no critism, no lead headlines, etc... blasting Qatar. Especially when compared to the reaction when Newcastle were in play. Gary and Jamie have gone quiet as well I think? I assume the media 'sitting on the fence' is because one of their big earners, Dippers or MU (or Spurs), could attract Qatar's $$$$.
If that happens, watch the media spin a silk purse from a sow's ear.

Hope they don't go for spuds.
Rags or scouse owned by the evil Arab empire would be such good entertainment.

To be fair, there are lots of differences.

Qatar 'human rights abuses' are many times worse in Saudi, a country 10x the population, it's a massively repressive society (despite reforms). Qatar is quite the player politically for it's size and generally go about things, much like the AD regime, in a fairly classy/understated way and obey the first rule of international order - don't get caught doing stupid shit like dismembering journalists in foreign countries.

I was pretty impressed by the way the Qataris didn't rise to any of the media provocation during the world cup

QSI are also well known for being good owners/benefactors of PSG, wheras the saudi regime is an unknown quantity

There's perhaps also a dawning realisation, that middle-east sovereign funds are far better owners for our sports institutions than pretty much any other ownership model given their long term objectives.

There is a new narative that is out there and getting “attention”: after failing to score for 3 games, apparently we were a better than without Haaland.

No striker will ever score without service. And he is not getting much at the moment.

he was right behind Jack and probably would have taken advantage of the situation had Jack not reached the header.

To be fair to him he was set up. The presenter and the two rag mong were all laughing about the offside and the presenter smirks and says don't worry Jolean you can have a say soon. But the tone had been set

He should have had the balls to call it out for what it was.
Instead he whipered like a lost puppy.
He should be ashamed of himself.

I was thinking the exact same thing! I couldn’t believe it when he turned round and said “it wasn’t offside”. I mean seriously everyone apart from Rag fans have said it’s the worst decision they have seen.

Lescott has no back bone. He's just another puppet. The average thick cunt believe what the biased media feed them. Bring back the days when the fans would make a noise inside and outside the stadium. DF PB and all the lads would be rioting. The fucking passion is being muted. Take it on the chin etc. I'm fucking angry and frustrated this morning. If I still lived 20mins from the ground I'd be up there demanding an explanation as to why we are taking this shit.

'City were a better team without Haaland': Dietmar Hamann leads the reaction after Erling Haaland's anonymous display in Manchester derby with fans claiming the striker 'genuinely did nothing for 95 minutes' as Luke Shaw and Co keep him quiet
Erling Haaland put in a lacklustre performance in Saturday's Manchester derby
The Norwegian failed to have a shot on target and had only two efforts on goal
His side fell to a 2-1 defeat in the derby having lead 1-0 with 12 minutes to play
Bruno Fernandes' equaliser was shrouded in controversy after a VAR decision
Relive all the action from the Manchester derby as United secure famous win

Is not just him, seen in all over.
They are desperate for him to fail. Just look how the media reacted after that miss in the Community Shield.

The media will focus on the Haaland factor now, it will be debated on all the sports platforms they will try to destabilise the club with this narrative

Eh ? What are you guys writing ? He is the PL leading goalscorer after 18 games . Why would anybody want to make any silly argument about Haarland role at City at the moment ?

we've just played several games all away from home - except the cup game where he didn't start and wasn't used. He also came on late at Soton, when the game was lost .
