Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Deserves a thread of its own
France v Argentina at 3pm
Can’t bring myself to cheer for France. And ordinarily wouldn’t be quick to cheer for the Argies. But they are the lesser of two evils and of course, our boy leads the line for them and has a chance of winning the Golden Boot so it will be “Come on Argentina” in our house
Fancy them to win as well. Hopefully Alvarez can bag another goal or two. Can see a 3-0 with Alvarez Messi and Fernandes to score
But the sooner this is over and we get back to normal the better.

Come on the Argie Boys!! Plenty of City connections and I’d love to see Aguero beaming out their with them.

Apparently he is rooming with Messi again!
He was the long time room mate of Messi and since he retired Messi roomed alone, but Aguero has been around the Argentina camp this World Cup a fair bit and has teamed up with his best mate again

Makes it all that much weirder that Messi never came to City to play with him.

Or conversely that we are a club which players want to stay at. I would imagine Barca tried to sign Aguero probably a few times when he was in his prime and yet they didn't

Has Germ Genius actually noticed Alvarez is playing? Three brilliant interplays by him but zero mentions by the Spurs fanboy too busy bigging up Loris.

He probably is unsure of who other 10 Argentina players are

Lovely ball from Alvarez to De Maria for his penalty roll

Just switched to ITV myself. At least McCoist is on there

Ref couldn’t wait. Qatar got their perfect final, they now just need Messi to walk away with the trophy.

I like McCoist but find ITVs coverage tragic.

Good goal.
I thought we should’ve spanked France but when it came to it we let them off the hook.

Alvarez has looked brilliant all competition. Hope he comes back even more confident and gets a bit more game time.
