all last year pep and klopp and others was moaning about only having 3 subs, so we got 5 subs, and WE DONT USE 5, WTF we can see it today that a few players was not up to it and needed to go off, but not 1 player was sub until it was too late, and why does he send a few subs out to warm up and then dont use those players, he needs to sort this out, even if winning put a couple on just to shake it up

We have said this on match thread, Pep continues to make a cunt of himself with the pleading for extra subs when he rarely uses them to any affect

I think this is his biggest flaw as a manager: his refusal to change to win games.
Sure, Gundo vs Villa comes to mind, but many times he did it so late in the game. Might be his refusal to accept he fucked up, he has blind confidence in the boys, who knows, but this is something that stops him to move ahead as a manager.
He is world class, but he can still improve.

He simply doesn't see the potential benefits of trying to change things up to either protect or change the outcome of the game. Whether its arrogance on his part to assume his original plan is infallible and thus can't be altered I don't know
But we have so many different options sat there it's ridiculous not to utilise them and this isn't just today, this is a recurring trend

Pep without Lilo is like Allison without Mercer.

Gundo was pure desperation and nothing more.
When you remove the desperation Pep suffers from pig headed stubbornness/superstition issues which prevent him from being proactive in the majority of these situations.

If the defence sucks then we need to press at the front, Alverez pressing could have relieved some of that pressure. The kid has been in excellent form along with Grealish, was there a need to have Gundo in the middle, this is Brentford ffs. It's not tactical genuis to play one of your best midfielder Bernie out of position, its plain stupid or arrogance. Is he trying to keep Gundo happy, sacrifice the team balance and result for one player? We need to go back to basics and less tinkering, subs should have been made at start of second half, that was plain madness not to react. He's now under more pressure to catch arsenal and watch his back as others are catching up.
Can Pep turn it around, of course if he's willing to cut out his stubbornness and sort the defence. I appreciate we can't win them all but yesterday was down to him and some extent the players.

We should be able to sub the manager when we realise he’s not going to make a change.

Anyone can say anything they want about Mancini good, bad or indifferent.
But one thing is for sure he was very good at changing a game for the better in terms of the subs and or onfield tatical changes.
Better than Pep in that aspect.
