Sky Game of The Day - "unsurprisingly Liverpool v Bournemouth" - only unsurprising in the sense that corruption seeps out of every pore of our media - why would any decent broadcaster showcasing the strongest most competitive league in the world - except a client TV station for US vested commercial interests - choose to show a one-sided mismatched rout instead of our game? Let's see what's first up on MOTD for the haters at BBC/MUTV tonight as well.

Cant argue with 9 goals, but that was so so easy. Dont think i've seen such lack of effort from a team. Nice to see MOTD focus on Haalands accidental kick to the head as a potential red card. Completely ignore the elbow to the face of Cancelo leading to their second goal. In the commentary the guy intimated Cancelo was faking it. Shite houses. No mention of Silva turning the game. Meanwhile let's gush over Arsenals flukey goals and their meteoric rise to the top. Nice goals from Sterling and a few days ago i would be happy for him, but somehow i'm not bothered either way

Lineker and Wright on MotD however were full of praise and as former strikers, and fucking great ones as well as it goes, they know what value he is and where he does his work and damage. His heat map was brilliant. In the opposition penalty area when he scored and in the centre circle when he kicked off. Where it counts

Alvarez is not a replacement for him though, when Haaland doesn't play it's back to false 9 tika taka - without the pace of Sterling but with Alvarez hopefully adding more than the energy of Jesus.

Although I fear you may be right, it's an unknown at the moment. How Alvarez would perform as a target man is unknown, although there's loads of youtube evidence, albeit against lesser opposition that suggest he would do it well.

Or maybe we are not going to mimic last seasons system when Alvarez plays?
Pep is creative, that is why his teams keep winning, they are unpredictable. That is why Pep is special.
In additional, Team and players keep evolving (driven by Pep).
Foden and Grealish may play different roles, Gómez is new to the party as is Plamer, etc...
I doubt if we are just going to revert to the false nine system of the past two seasons. It will be a new play on that.

As an aside. It is so annoying to read about the genius of Klopp and Conte, etc...
Basically, both are one trick ponies (although Klopp is trying to change things at Liverpool with Nunez signing).
Klopp, press and kick and rush, by pass midfield play. Conte sets up to counter attack.

Nunez is available again.
Media have gone very quiet on Nunez.
Articles on Haaland Vs. Nunez, the golden boot and who is better, etc... have disappeared........

Just wait for his next game. Question is will Klopp risk him in a derby. I'd be surprised to see him start

And apparently Gary Neville is facing a contempt of court charge over an instagram message relating to the case.

See it includes all potential add ons, so if that's the case we'd have won the league, champions league and a few of them would have picked up the balon d'or too. I'd be happy with that!

Funny how they've stopped producing net spend tables now isn't it !

City are number1 spenders on squad with add-ons?

Let us manipulate the figures by:

1. ignoring player sales.
2. boost the spend by including unsubstantiated add-ons.
3. no start date, no end date means we can exclude players who have left, for ex, Pogba, Lukaku, Di Maria (£240M)
4. ignore signing on fees, agent fees, etc... therefore, we exclude Ronaldo.
5. don't give a breakdown of the figures, just make sure City come top of te pile.

Garbage article at many levels.
