Palmer isn’t injured. He came back at the end of last season and played the final game for the EDS, scoring and playing very well.

I waa referrung to Pep's comments towards the end of the season when he was sayung he breaks down eveey couple of days and they didn't know why. Hoowfully, whatever it was is sorted and he can crack on and get involved as he does not look out of place

Hopefully, he is over the injury problem. The nature of it was undisclosed but Cole was flown to Barcelona to see Cugat in May. He withdrew from the England U21s after that 45 mins for the EDS, which if you watched it you would know he was clearly a long way from 100% (to be expected after such a long absence.) These are the facts, Cole is a fantastic prospect - probably the best we've got - but there are still some serious question marks about his fitness.

I wonder if we’ll replace Sterling if he leaves. He scored 13 goals and had 5 assists in the league last season, could Palmer do that? I doubt it for his first “proper” season, possibly long-term he can get those numbers.

Who could we bring in to do that? Talk of Gnabry or even Sanè coming back - I can’t see either tbh. Who else is out there?

Sane's attitude will mean he will never reach his potential. Don't want him back. Spoilt child.

I think it is safe to say, you only need look at the rags and Pogba, maybe even chelsea with lukaku to know never bring a player back especially if it pampers further to the ego that led to them leaving in first place......

True enough but Pau Torres is 2 yrs younger, a current Spanish international with a release clause roughly equivalent to what they'll have to pay for Ake.

Looking at that Torres he reminds me of a defensive version of Wanchope! Proper bambi on ice and you never know what you’ll get. My worry is these Spanish defenders aren’t amazing in the Prem and that’s why they end up going back to Spain.
