And just standing there letting the Fulham player go past him for the ball... That's like the first you're thought when you start playing football: step into the pass.

Rodri has to come and replace Fernandinho, there's no way he can last more than 10 mins in second half.

Bad night's sleep, just back from a 10k run and having had a 8.4% beer during the first half, I'm going to need better football than this to stay awake during the second period.

Another full back required - Walker is increasingly unreliable and needs competition to sharpen him up/replace him.

You can see why they are flying in the Championship, 5 clear of the rest and only lost 4 all season (we’ve lost 5). They play very similar to us and not scared to attack the space, using their youthful speed to hit us on the counter.

For us, Fern is my issue and the lack of urgency from Grealish (he’s not a No 9). Like to see Rodri on and if we are keeping Grealish on, move him to the left and Foden through the centre.

Foden hasn’t been great tbh. If it stays the same Sterling should come on. Too tight to think of Delap or McAtee unfortunately. A third goal for City might change that calculation.

I do agree with this and also wonder how he can still have such a twattish hairdo despite going to the barbers this week. But to be honest, Mahrez – who also had Prem experience and who came with a massive price tag – was also absolute crap for his entire first season. And he's made up for it since.

At the moment we have Foden Grealish Sterling and Jesus none of whom like playing through the middle particularly.. Alvarez would change that even if no other striker comes in.

watching it via ESPN with Craig Burley wrapping his empty gums round trivia as usual - we'll struggle to get through more than the Chavs or Moyesboys - anyway back to co-commentator Danny Mills for more pearls...
