Nowhere near the ball and cleaned the man out. Someone does that the other end of the field I for one am shouting penalty. Very lucky not to have that given against us IMO

We’re getting some calls that would normally go against us, just wondering if this is Project RELEGATE NEWCASTLE from the PL?

is that a political way of asking if Newcastle are just crap ?

He's cleaned him out though. I'd be shouting for a pen if that was us.

I don’t see it as a penalty but expected it from the the officials. For it not to be even looked at by the VAR tells its own story.

VAR is Craig Pawson. That says it all.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Did not see them that much since the takeover, but I think that is very possible.
They pose a threat. I still don't understand who they couldn't get someone better than Howe. I like Eddie, but there are a few world class managers available and then I remembered that early article about the "big clubs" deciding not to sell players to Newcastle.

A top manager would never go there with that squad, probably got Howe as he has a good tradition of keeping Bournemouth in the PL, think Sam Allardyce.

It doesn’t help that they’ve not got real football people in there yet so will take some time to set-up the project.

I’m not looking at it from a Toon perspective, just as a long standing City fan. Newcastle are not the best but I’m used to certain decisions going against us yet, in this game, we seem to be getting the run of the green. We’ll see if there’s any chance of a penalty call, we seldom get them.

Playing crap but 2-0 up. Take that.

Ederson and Zinchenko look a bit dodgy.

Sure, but many of them are mercenaries. Look at the African football in late 90s, early 2000. Many nations had really good managers, most of them french that you wouldn't think they would go there, but money talks.

In cruise control. These yellows are mounting which is a concern.

You know things are good when all the pundits in the studio get high pitched. Carragher was scaring the dog!

A lot being made of the barcodes penalty appeal Shearer playing fucking hell on twitter, I wonder if ref tries to put it right in second half.

To PP,

It does, money is always a pull but there’s also the thought of Newcastle paying a top manager to try and keep that team in the league. We know that the PL, probably led by the red cunts, are trying to restrict Newcastle in financial terms, leaving them in no position to set the narrative.

The Yank money clubs control the narrative, we’re a minority within commercial interests.

Saint Maximan comes on for Newcastle. Strange decision not to start your best player if he is fit.

I was just going to ask that question after Rodri was booked, I thought it was in new year but not sure
