In cricket terms that means he’s a “Flat track bully”

I wouldn't say he was playing against a top team the other night and he was still shit and whilst playing in his supposed best position.
That's why i don't get all the protests on here about a Barca loan move in Jan.
While his contract is running down so is his value. I can't see him going to another top 4 club here. I don't think his ego would agree to Arsenal or Newcastle.
If Barca stump up his wages with some sort of agreement for the summer then it can't be bad for us.

Torres is injured at the moment and Jesus can’t play this weekend. Say one of Mahrez, Grealish or Foden gets injured today then we’d be very low on numbers. What’s to say we won’t be in a similar position in Jan? We have the smallest squad in the league. Suicidal to let him go on loan.

I think mentally he is out of the door, sadly. With no Sergio banging them in for fun, he has dropped the baton, when he should have blossomed. Defies logic that 5 years with the best finisher ever seen he learnt zero.

Jesus will be back Tuesday.
If we get injuries I'd rather put Cole Palmer in the squad or McAtee. Nearly everyone goes mad when Sterling is in the team anyway.

Agree in part to this but Sergio was an instinctive finisher in the main and no-one can teach that. Could and should have learnt more from a movement perspective though I agree wirh that. Seemed to blossom when Pep took time out to change the way he shaped up in receiving the ball but has been beyond poor since and as you say, looks like his head is already out the door. I will not miss the player of the last two seasons

Pep Guardiola has admitted he was surprised by Raheem Sterling's claim he could leave Manchester City over a lack of playing time.

Guardiola responded to Sterling's comments by saying: “I didn't know it, I didn't think the club knew.

Raheem is our player, hopefully he will be an incredibly important player for us. I don't know if he wants to play more.

Riyad Mahrez doesn't play and he doesn't complain, Joao Cancelo too. I cannot assure them, I cannot assure how many minutes each one plays. Always they have to speak on the pitch.

What I want from Raheem and everyone is they have to be satisfied to be here and delighted to be here. If that's not the case he has to make the best decision for his family.”

Brilliant response from Pep. Especially the last bit - if you don’t want to be at City then find somewhere else to be.

Excellent response .
Fucking little shit knows he’s playing shit and still wants to now demand more playing time over the likes of Foden !

Sterling has a victim mentality, probably why Liverpool bought him. He’s not happy unless he has something to complain about. He has a gun tattooed on him, purely so that people can ask why and he can tell them about his dad getting shot.

A move to Italy or Spain, where he’ll be racially abused every week, will suit him. He can complain constantly then and start his campaigns for his ego.

Just when we started to play great football this little self centred arrogant shit had to ge centre of attention.
He could have waited unit January or next summer before making that statement, he should be knuckling down and working his socks off to regain his form. I think he truly believes he's world class and should be a regural starter.

I can see him going to Arsenal or silly money to Newcastle, he'd get all the attention he craves

Just my opinion LB2. I’m not referring to the blatant racist abuse he has received - when we played Chelsea for example. But when everything is going well he seems the type of person to go looking for issues. Saying the media were racist because they printed a story about him buying his mum a house and that they wouldn’t have done it for a white player  They picked on him because he’s a cocky little twat. Nothing to do with the colour of his skin. Beckham received just the same abuse from the British media after 98. And just like Sterling he turned it around with them.

I’m not impressed with the interview or timing but I don’t see the need to get so triggered and personal (not just you mate, loads are at it). He’s just a guy who’s been asked about playing time and foolishly played into their hands.

As for the media treatment, he was spot on. He was singled out for years. But that’s my opinion.

I agree, he was singled out for years. But again, not because of the colour of his skin (look at Rashford - never had a bad word said about him in the media) but it’s because Sterling was a flashy little twat.

No more flashy than any other millionaires. He was a marked man as soon as it was clear he wanted to move on from dippers. How dare he join big bad city.

I agree that played a part in it. Again though, that’s not racism - he just dared to leave one of the media darlings.

To be honest I spent years, and a lot of time on here, defending Raz from criticism. And to hear him just come out with this bollocks the day before a match pisses me off. Like Pep has said, knuckle down and fight for your place. Actually play well. I feel let down and I imagine Pep does massively, especially after putting him in for the final of the CL

I think it was. Lots of people pretend it’s not racism but this country has an undertone of racism entwined in its society and sometimes you can see it rear its head.

Anyway, that’s my opinion no beef. But I completely agree with the rest of your post. I also defended him and feel let down. He needs to pull his finger out of his arse and start performing, or move on respectfully.

He's not a bloke who just wants to play football.

He's a multi million pound business and his interviews are press releases.

In saying that, He's done lots for us and I wish him well. But he's put himself on a platform and he wants to stay on that platform.

Best of luck to him

Starting tomorrow, as it’s likely he’ll be playing. Now he’s put himself in the shop window we may see some decent performances from him.

Beckham was vilified, 1000 times more than sterling has ever been slagged off , but at least the thick twat soon realized what he had to do to get everyone back on his side.

Sick and tired of the race card being banded about- it’s used , by a huge % , as a get out of jail for free card when the going gets tough !

Beckham couldn’t use the race card could he !

I agree with this. Raz wants to leave and his putting himself in the shop window. As long as he doesn't make too much of a fuzz and handles it professionally, I'm fine with that. Hopefully he will find some form again and contribute to the team until he leaves.

I don't get all the hate, to be honest.
