Apparently, according to some, Barcelona want him in January.
The idea of that might please a few, but in reality there is absolutely no chance of him going there.

Yeah I know, that's what makes all this stuff so laughable.
I bet Stokealona can't even afford to sack Koeman.

Koeman actually paid his own 20M release clause from the natiinal side and so not only would he be due that back on sacking, he would also be due the pay off from his contract. Unless Farca get a big cash injectiin or Koeman agrees to get paid back in catalogue terms, that is not happening any time soon

There are news they will get a cash injection of 1.2 bil from Qatar. But at what cost?

Wouldn't have said useless. To me he tried and clearly wants to get his form back.
But look we all see things differently.

More talk about Barca getting him on loan in Jan. If this happens I’ll be pissed off as it doesn’t benefit us at all, and it would just be doing a favour for the former Barca guys we have at the club.

Will they loan us Frankie de Jong? Will they fuck!

Can't see the problem. We're all pissed off when he's in the team. The only way he gets in the team is the false 9 as he's behind Grealish, Foden, Mahrez and Jesus out wide and it doesn't work with him as the false 9 so if he plays well out wide there for a few months it puts his value up.

Unless we want to play him regularly we can't lose.

You assuming we’ll be out of the cups then? Rotating in the run in at the end of the season is essential if we want to keep players fresh.

If it's a paid load + mandatory transfer fee next summer, then I am down.
But sadly, I think it might be a Coutinho type of deal and he will end up with no one wanting him.

When will his contract end? In two or three years?

Definitely not assuming that. I've given 4 names for 2 wide positions. It would also be a great chance to put Palmer and McAtee in.
That's without Torres and hopefully a fit again Delap. Plenty of opportunity to rotate.

To be fair, he reminds me of David James upfront. Total chaos around him
I think him being all over the place got us to score two on Sunday. The scouse defense had no idea what to do with him.
