Normal game for me, if we changed and got beat we would be up in arms.

Seems to be a lot of excuses going around lately, and never their fault.

No, but loved the way they stepped on each others toes for the penalty.
Tranny will take the next one and Penandes will not be pleased.

Always a good sign that the manager is under pressure and extra stress when they start blaming defeats on outside influences and supposed bias of officials. It was laughable he blamed Klopp for their lack of penalties awarded thus far

And Klopp blamed the ref’s for giving them penalty’s that they didn’t deserve, as well as long grass, not enough water, too much wind and a team that had the audacity to actually want to win a match against them.

Always the victim’s.

I still think Taggart blaming the colour of the kit, because the raggys couldn't see each other is the all time classic.

Good to see Brentford v Dippers up first, they deserve it, and goes well with trying to whitewash the ‘Big Game’ and the ‘Villa Steal’.

Watched MOTD, two observations:

1. VVD seemed to be caught in no man's land a few times. Brentford got through Dippers center with ease. This did not happen before VVD injury.
2. OGS is feeling the heat big time. He no longer gives an objective analysis, he just lists pathetic excuses.
Compare his post match to Tuchel's which was really impressive, right on the money I thought.

What did people think of VVD, is he as good as he was before his injury?

He’s just the same. He was always overrated with the lying “not been dribbled passed” narrative, when he was dribbled passed a number of times.

I think he is the most overrated defender of all time. He is a subject of the media built and by scousers.
Annoying little shite, also, always moaning.

He may not be this all singing all dancing defender the media have portrayed, but he is hardly the most overrated defender of all time.
He may not be as good as pre injury, time will tell and I personally don't think he will be, but he is still an impressive guy to have in your back four

Overrated or not, he makes them into a decent team. Be interesting to see how he goes about marking mo-one next week with our fluid set-up

I stand by what I've said, pal, in the 90s he wouldn't even reach the dutch side.
He is a media creation. Can't remember a player having this PR in the last decade, they made his so big he almost got the Ballon D'Or. Also, he is a product of the lack of world class defenders that the football world has at the moment. Look at Kounde, the price and the hype around him. I've seen him in many games last season, he makes a good Mangala impression.

Van Dyke is ok, but so overrated he believes his own hype with every gesture he makes on the pitch.

It seems that Martinez, the Villa keeper, told Fernandes that Tranny should take the penner before he took it
