Nothing to see from the Bridge

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Nothing to see from the Bridge

Have to admit, I have had so many problems getting this done tonight. So this is it, and its really not worth it. The Chavs are very hooked up on winning four games in a row. Can we trust Pep to sort this out? I would take a draw right now.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Michael Oliver
Assistants: Stuart Burt, Simon Bennett
Fourth official: Robert Jones
VAR: Darren England
Assistant VAR: Dan Robathan

Team Selection

Mendy
Dave - Thiago - Rudi
RJ - Jorginho - Kante - Kovacic - Alonso
Havertz - Rom

And the rest…

For the first time I dont fear City at all. We have their number.

City have Chelsea, PSG and Liverpool all away next 3 games. Probably toughest week in the history of football
Back 5 picks itself. Then Jorginho. Then it gets tricky. Tuchel has enough time to figure out the best solution. 352 or 343.
I hate this 12:30 kick-off games.

We beat them at Wembley, at the Etihad and in Porto last season... Time to do it at the Bridge too!

So slow, no pace. City will have a field day with their high line... We need a fast player to unlock them. I hate playing with all three Jorginho, Alonso and Azpi.... so little speed to break their lines. Timo has to play whether we like it or not.

Think this’ll be an extremely difficult game. City will be more up for this than any game this season I think. All the talk about Tuchel having Pep’s number, City can’t beat this Chelsea, people installing us as title favorites ahead of them etc.... They’re going to be desperate to prove a point and stick one on us to remind everyone that they’re still the team to beat.... I’m confident in us but won’t be surprised if we slip up. But if we do beat them for a 4th straight time I genuinely will start to believe that we’re the prohibitive title favorite.

A draw is fine against our rivals. Beating the smaller teams is where will win the league.

Considering how many players City have out, we should be winning. Think Tuchel will set up not to lose, but I'd love to see a front three of Werner, Lukaku, Havertz with Kante and Jorginho in midfield... Think we will play a 352 with Kova/Kante/Jorginho with either Werner/Havertz up top with Lukaku.

I dont think TT will set up to not lose, thats an inbuilt mantra to begin with anyway.....he will go for the win, will always go for the win unless we are utterly fucked.
