Oh more importantly pep has seriously fucked off his own clubs loyal fan base who have put up with all the hassle reported elsewhere in this thread. What a fucking PR disaster……….
If loyal fans were feeling disconnected with the club with all the changes they will be more so now . Expecting nothing from the club in relation to this as most SC holders know communication the last 12 months or so is fucking diabolical.
PS its £35 to join the cup scheme then £40 a ticket rising to £50 plus for the last 16 UCL games
NOT FUCKING CHEAP for most plus all the travel shit during midweek Manchester rush hour !!!!

How much is a pint these days ?

It’s shit beer inside the ground and even shittier service and now card only . Abysmal state of affairs.
MCR city center for a proper pint !

I didn't ask what you think about The service or the Beer in the Stadium. I simply asked what is the price of a pint of Beer. Yes, of course it depends on the pub, but you know what I mean , a rough average.

now, before you answer , if you are bothered. The reason i ask , is because that , like a Big Mac, is a guide to what the average punter has to pay , to get through the day.

The pubs in town must surely be expensive these days ? or am i wrong ?

Jesus fucking wept .
£4.50 I think in the concourse in the stadium for a pint of piss that comes in a paper fucking cup . Anywhere from £3 to £5.50 in MCR city depending on which establishments you choose to have a piss up whether it be slumming it in a spoons or having it large in one of the many upmarket establishments.
Do you want a fucking travel review and rating aswell ?????

kevin parker on SSN

Postby stevefromdonny » Fri Sep 17, 2021 8:57 am

Just watched Kevin parker on SSN about peps we need more fans blah blah when asked do you know why fans don't go to the ground on midweek games, all he said that he was asking about pep saying about the Saturday game and the ground will be 99% full, what he should have said was

city has bought in a new way to get tickets, season tickets and it's a shambles you need to have tickets on your mobile phone to get tickets and not everyone can do that, that we people trying to order tickets for champion league and league cup games by phone is a pisstake as you are on the phone for hours then cut off
no information from city on these issues and yet they want people and their money
it is a shambles from the start but Kevin won't say that as he is in their pockets and wants what comes with that

As a rule of thumb, if you're paying over a fiver for a bog-standard pint (or £6 in London), you're in a pricier establishment. At the other end, you wouldn't raise your eyebrow at a dump charging £3.50 a pint, although you can find cheaper. Fancy pints in fancy places can easily be upwards of £8, but I've never been somewhere where a pint is over a tenner in the UK (yet), although I have no doubt that some such places exist.

What I've noticed in the UK over the past few years is that the prices in the cheapest pubs ('Spoons excepted) have crept up to match those in the mid-to-upper range. So while there used to be a difference of 50-80p a pint between the cheapest pubs and the more expensive ones (but not the most expensive) in a town, this gap is now more like 10-25p. So a decent pub might charge £3.80, and a dump down the road might charge £3.55, while 15 years ago the dump was charging £1.85 and the expensive place was upwards of £2.50.

Cambridge is the third-most-expensive place in the UK for a pint, with an average price of £4.65. The first pint to cross the £3 barrier in a pub in the city was back in Spring 2006, when Old Rosie went up to £3.05 in The Mill (which is the pub where Amanda Burton's character regularly drinks in the earlier seasons of Silent Witness). At that time, it was still possible (but increasingly difficult) to find a pint for under £2 in a non-chain and non-university-run establishment. A pint of Carling Export in one student bar was £1.85 at that time; the last time I was in that very same bar (April 2018), the cheapest pint was £4, but it was some fancy artisanal stuff.

^^^^^^^

I was simply trying to get the context of the ticket prices to the basics .

The luxury of sitting in a seat with good leg room compared to the disgrace that is Old Toilet seems somewhat justifiable in the price . Compared to say arsenal.

I really don't understand the need for good leg room or services. Perhaps it's an age thing, but I rarely drink at games, and don't notice things like leg room (then again, I'm not particularly tall - someone who's 6 foot 4 might see this in a totally different way to me). The one thing I do notice is that the Etihad has never been difficult to exit at full time. I don't know if it's the design/architecture (with the spirals eliminating the need for many stairs) or if the people leaving after 78 minutes make crowds less dense.

In terms of prices, I think CL group stage games should be priced like League Cup games for ST holders; around £15-20 per match, with the caveat that tickets bought are non-transferrable. Then put the rest on open sale at £25-30 for those with a supporter number, and £35 upwards for day trippers. Any unsold tickets can be offered to local businesses that register their interest with the club at a cut price (the same price as for those with a supporter number) to offer to their staff.

Doesn't matter what kind of bull shit damage control he tries to come out with today - damage has been done and it wont go away.

Opposing fans are laughing their tits off at us.

Fuck me ..we don't need a mole in the club to dish dirt on us when we have our very own manager to do it on the biggest platform available

Speaking of the defencing champions, here's Pep Guardiola, and the Manchester City boss is immediately asked about the response of Kevin Parker, general secretary of City's official supporters' club, to Guardiola's call for more fans to turn up on Saturday.

"I am not going to apologise for what I said," said Guardiola. "It's not the first time I've said it in my career, I said it at Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

"When we play a tough game, like RB Leipzig was, and play three games [soon] after, I know how difficult it is, to ask for us all to do it again on Saturday. What I said was we need the support, it doesn't matter how many people come, but I invite them to come and enjoy the game because we need the support.

"I am entirely grateful for the support that we had against Leipzig. I always say if guys want to come we will be incredibly grateful because I know how difficult the game will be and I know we need our people. I never sit here and ask why people don't come. If you don't come then don't. I will not apologise to him [Kevin Parker]."

There you have it, is he saying the atmosphere or the amount of people?
