He dranked Hughes's wine. I think he did something similar to upset the board.

controversial viewpoint but if we'd have stuck with Mancini we'd have a champs league trophy or two in the bag by now

Doubt that mate he was sacked from inter despite winning the league for his failure in the chumps league. Do you remember our showing under him in the chumps league inspiring it was not.
Moot point, but maybe he would have won it with Pep's team last season in a one off game - he certainly would not be able to manage us successfully over a longer period with his personality

Spot on mate, We came 3rd in the group in 11/12 went in the Europa and couldn't even make it out of the last 16 in that.
Following year we came bottom of the group.

What was our group that year?
EDIT: just looked - Bayern, Napoli and Villarreal. We got 10 points which would have seen us qualify in 6 of the other groups.

Yep, but 6 of those points were against Villereal who were the whipping boys with none and we beat an understrength Bayern who'd already qualified last game.
We then beat Porto in the last 32 of the Europa before going out to Sporting.
Following year was even worse.

I think it’s harsh to judge Mancini on his CL performances with City. We’d not been in the completion before, most of our players didn’t have the experience and Mancini had only been here 1 season. Plus Tevez literally fucked off after we’d played Bayern.
A lot of those players probably couldn’t cope with focusing on winning the Prem and doing well in the CL - even though, like I say, we finished our group with 10 points which would have got us qualified in six of the other groups.
If Pep took over at Everton - I can guarantee he wouldn’t win the CL in his first 3 seasons there.

Lots of speculation on whether or not Mancini would win us a CL...who knows.
What we do know is Baldie is a massive failure with us in the CL...and he has had the best squad in world football.
100000000% He will never win us this cup as he is too arrogant to own up to his mistakes and too arrogant to stop fuckign around with a winning team.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"
