At the time of posting, there's only 49% of 266 voters who are fully behind him.

Then again only 15% are certain he isn't the man. Without trying to cause any argument, this was the situation when the decision over Hughes sacking was taken.

viewtopic.php?f=119&t=28340&p=50152&hilit=hughes#p50152

The difference here really are the fence sitters. There were hardly any left on that poll wheras there's loads of people yet to make their mind up about Robbie Manc. Which is very understandable. Could go either way in the future.

I'd love to see a graph of how opinion's changed over the time he's been here. We could call it 'The Fickle Chart'.

I've been following the "no" votes. When this poll was created (or at least few days after) it was 22 votes for "no". Despite the good early results that number never went down.

The poll indicates that at the moment that 51% either are not sure or do not feel he is the man for the job. It does not mean that they do not fully support him as Manager of our Club.

I registered a no in the poll, wavered towards a don't know and am now back in the no camp. However, nothing would please me more than to be proved wrong as at some stage we have to find a Manager who can stay for the long term and take us forward. At the moment, he has my full support but that does not mean that I agree with everything he has done.

Yes it does. If they haven't voted "Yes" then it means they're not fully behind him. He either has their support or he doesn't!

Your talking nonsense. I think I know my own mind better than you, mate. So what about people who have voted yes but have expressed reservations about tactics etc - are they fully behind him? I will fully support anyone who manages the club even if I do have reservations - my vote in the poll makes no difference to that.

What?! Where have I claimed to "know your mind" You're the one talking nonsense. You're putting words in to my mouth.

If there is ANY shadow of doubt in someone's mind then they're clearly not fully behind him and should be voting "not sure." I'm fully behind Sheikh Mansour but I'm not fully behind Garry Cook.

It should really have been left as "yes" or "no" because if you hover between the two, as I have done briefly, then I suppose you are automatically "not sure".

At the moment I'd say its 50/50 and probably will be until we either play fluent football and/or go on a winning run against decent opposition.... or vice versa I suppose...

Not an exact science but comparing the two managers side by side for results there is very little in it between the two.

Mancini
Stoke City..................2-0
Wolves......................3-0
Blackburn...................4-1
Everton.....................0-2
Portsmouth.................2-0
Hull..........................1-2
Bolton.......................2-0

Won 5 Lost 2 = 15

Hughes
Stoke City.................No 2009/10 comparison. Last year won 3-0
Wolves.....................1-0
Blackburn..................2-0
Everton....................No 2009/10 comparison. Last year won 2-0
Portsmouth................1-0
Hull.........................1-1
Bolton......................3-3

Won 5 Drew 2 = 17

Well that's just it, similar (slightly worse) results with Mancini I can take by all means, but more points with shitter football is kind of a double whammy really.

Last season's squad was weakened and therefore favour Mancini, but now that you bring it up it makes hughes record with a lesser squad look evn better and with far better football1

Thanks for pointing that out chief!

Yeah I thought that was a bit feminine myself... especially when it didn't hurt one iota.... in fact it strenghtened my argument, because last seasons squad was weaker and the results and points tally MRM posted were better!!!

Cheers for that BTW MRM, like NQDP always says "there is NO arguing with results"

I've checked back and last season's match squads were far stronger for those games as we didn't have so many injuries/crocked Hughes signings. You can now tell me again that it's only this season that counts.

Last season's team that played those matches were far stronger than this season's?

Don't be daft Socs, come on now, let it go...

I'm on the same side as you, its just that you've said you have already been proven right about Mancini being the man and as of now, you most certainly have not.

I pray that the owners put Hughes on a sabbatical and he will be back tomorrow. With every day this is looking a more and more ridiculous decision. Not only is Mancini boring, the results are starting to look dire, a one nil defeat against 10 men Stoke is an outrage.
