...But what excitement did you have last night?....apart from a few specific moments, I sat back in my seat...and watched.
I want to be on the edge of my seat....I want to be up and down in my seat I want to see some of the best players we have ever had enthrall me with their skill and excite me as they threaten the opponents goal time after time. I want my team peppering the other goal so i can shout ooh!
I don't to just be sat in my seat.
If we didn't have such great players, i would accept that...but we have some great players and last night they were not great, they were just players.

Exactly!
Antti, I fear for your sex life if this brand of football excites you more.

I was excited as ever up until we scored our second, at which point I knew the game was over. The rush of Adebayors shot hitting the back of the net for instance. Nearly chocking on my nicotine gum as I wasn't really expecting it. the buzz of winning the game.
While it wasn't particularily beautiful, It was still bloody exciting. Regarding Pearce who was mentioned, the quality of football didn't piss me off half as much as the numbness. We went one behind and the game was over. I'd spend following 70 or 80 minutes just waiting for the game to end as I knew we weren't going to get back in the game. He took away THE BUZZ and replaced it with spirit crushing numbness. I haven't got that vibe at any stage under Mancini (and despite all his faults neither did I get it under Hughes).

If Pearce had the squad Mancini has there is no way in hell you would be feeling "numbness". He had a much poorer quad that's why we weren't able to bounce back as often as you may have liked, but I do remember us bouncing back against Villa and against Boro in our most important match.
The only team we've bounced back against was U***d and that's not quite the same, when it was only half a game in reality.
There is no evidence that we will beat top teams, let alone come back and draw against them, so forgive me for not understanding why this brand of football and some of the terrible perfomances coupled with 3 defeats has you "BUZZING" when you say it was so depressing under Pearce?
The only difference I can see SO FAR between Pearce and Mancini is the stars Mancini has at his disposal. Sven would be better, hughes was better IMO. SO FAR that is mind.
I hope to fuck he makes me eat my words and we perform admirably in these crucial upcoming games, but I can't say I'm "BUZZING" at the thoughts of facing top opposition giving how we performed against Hull, Pompey and Bolton.

you regularly laid into the last fella for, in your words "blackburn style longball game".
how does this sit with this new attitude you express in above post?
as regards the poll i have been on not sure since the start, and have seen nothing yet to change my mind either way.

You weren't saying anything liek that against Hamburg last season. In fact I remember you telling me how brilliant we were despite going out. Yet when we beat RAGS, albeit in one leg only, it don't mean shit???

Yes that hamburg game was one of the most spirited dispays I've ever seen from a city side and it was the best atmosphere I'd ever experienced at a city game. I was so proud that night and I will remember it for the rest of my life.
No I didn't feel that way after we stumbled past U***d in the first leg of the carling cup semi.
And you see no difference? Mad.
