Much as though Pep has made some really odd decisions this season, we seriously need a decent assistant manager to ease the load, offer different insights, coach players and be a sounding board. The present guy I don’t think fits the bill

Wouldn't listen to them. Its just pushing the responsibility onto someone else.
He supposed to be great, he got us into this mess, he can get us out of it. 2 games to show us what he's got left in the tank or he fucks off. No ifs or buts.
Perhaps his greatness were his previous assistants and they fucked off because he was being a dick

Interesting this. Borell left, Lillo left once, Arteta left, and Maresca left. Sure, the last two to take the managerial jobs.

Pep moaning that he doesn't want too many players next season. That's fine if his squad is 22 guys who can play lots of minutes but when he's got a squad full of players that are over 30 then it's a recipe for disaster as this season has proved. He continues to say that he will quit if the club gives him too many players. At this moment his ego is bigger than the talent he is showing. Time to say goodbye and thank you

I think he will not get a new contract. Next season expires again? Or he has another one after that?

Just reading that. He's a bizarre twat. We've been killed by injuries all season and he wants to make that worse? He's even threatened to quit!! Off you pop mate.

Pep Guardiola has threatened to quit as manager of Manchester City if the club does not reduce the size of his squad this summer, saying leaving so many players out is "impossible for my soul".

A number of Man City's senior players were not included in the matchday squad for Tuesday's 3-1 win against Bournemouth and Guardiola says he is unhappy at leaving so many players out.

Abdukodir Khusanov, Savinho, James McAtee, Claudio Echeverri and Rico Lewis all missed out on Tuesday's 20-man matchday squad as City moved to third in the Premier League and within a point of Champions League qualification.

But, despite this showing the depth Guardiola has at his disposal, the Spaniard wants to work with a smaller squad next season.

He said: "I said to the club I don't want that [a bigger squad]. I don't want to leave five or six players in the freezer. I don't want that. I will quit. Make a shorter squad, I will stay.

Basically saying to Viana that he'll decide when we need to buy and sell. Pathetic cunt. Wouldn't do that to his mate and no one is bigger than the club - to say "I'll just quit if you don't do it my way" is absolutely ridiculous

Read that on the beeb myself and was about to post. Cannot fault him for statying true to his idea of a smaller (20) man squad that has players with flexibility to cover multiple positions. I will say that the cover should be natural and not a nunes type mf playing fly fb. That squad needs to be a lot younger to be able to play twice a week from October to May. If its 20 plus gundo, bernie, akanji ake and stones maybe we get away with it but injuries killed us this season and the 3 defenders there were at the top of that list. We've brought in Khus who should now be a starter at cb and Reiss as cover but still are at least 4 players short with potential departures including 2 fbs and at least one keeper. If Pep keeps up this with the press baiting him, he will be gone

What annoys me is the audacity.
He made a mess of the season by having an older aging squad, he brought his personal issues into the mixt, he is showing signs he is not playing the footballers brought in the winter because they were not his decision, he failed to prepare a cup final by giving the players time off and supposedly, also left to Barcelona, was unable to adapt his system to the problems he is facing and so on.
And instead of shuting the fuck up after the season, he comes out and threatens the club.

Time to fuck off big time. Khaldoon and the Big Man need to grow a pair and tell him adios.

Here’s the BBC article

Of course the rag loving BBC could have taken his words out of context but it sounds rather petulant to me

So in the same sentence he says he doesn't want a big squad, then he says he doesn't want a situation where he doesn't have enough players to pick a starting 11 (ie a smaller squad), then he can't have a big squad (which logically would avoid him having the situation where he can't pick 11). One day he just might turn up with his underpants on his head.

It all sounds to me like the prelude to an amicable parting of the ways. Irreconcilable differences if you like.

Has Xabi Alonso actually been announced as the Real Madrid manager yet?

Bit of a puzzle this. When there were injuries & two games a week he is playing fuck he didn’t have fit players. Now he appears to say opposite. Weird fuck.
