Today's "Bluemong Quote of the Day" goes to Jnr Kisby:

"I find cutting through the richness with a dollop of HP...

Interesting the final line he placed in Italics. HP sauce was bought out by Heinz in 2005. Could be a cryptic clue about Heinze?"

They really are rock solid detectives over there.

FFS, that's Fabregas off my wish-list then!

[Abu Dhabi]

What's going on? I received a message from Etisalat (Barca and City sponsors):

"Barcelona have rejected a USD43m bid from Manchester City to sign striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic"

Are they seriously expecting a profit? And are we seriously interested?

SSN reporting that the Spanish media have linked Gerrard to move to Real as Jose's Captain. And in other news, if Jose looks to bring in Eto'o, Inter looking at taking Torres away from Liverpool. Let's face it, it's going to be very hard for Liverpool to hold onto them if they don't sort themselves out.

Anyway, there's another 2 off the list then!

Javi Martinez' agents reckon we enquired about him 3 months ago but nothing has materialised since then and we have made no offer. He has a contract to 2014 and a €30M get-out clause. (Elmundodeportivo)
