Today's "Bluemong Quote of the Day" goes to Jnr Kisby:

"I find cutting through the richness with a dollop of HP...

Interesting the final line he placed in Italics. HP sauce was bought out by Heinz in 2005. Could be a cryptic clue about Heinze?"

They really are rock solid detectives over there.

Yeah mate, I'm not joking... I find popping over there these days is nothing short of fascinating. Remember the fucktard that used to post on here called Bluecreed? He has a twitter page that has listed wrong predictions going back to his first bit of "ITK" info. He must actually be a bit slow or something, because posting every day that we're gonna sign a different player and always being wrong takes some doing.

http://twitter.com/bluecreed

But the MOST disturbing thing about it is that eventhough the mongs have seen this page and read all of his posts, knowing he has continually been completely wrong.... they still say "any update bluecreed mate?"

Fucking WOW!!!

What's going on? I received a message from Etisalat (Barca and City sponsors):

"Barcelona have rejected a USD43m bid from Manchester City to sign striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic"

Are they seriously expecting a profit? And are we seriously interested?

I've seen no quotes from the club on this one but it looks like the media are putting 2 and 2 together to make it look as if we are funding the deal for Fabregas.

SSN reporting that the Spanish media have linked Gerrard to move to Real as Jose's Captain. And in other news, if Jose looks to bring in Eto'o, Inter looking at taking Torres away from Liverpool. Let's face it, it's going to be very hard for Liverpool to hold onto them if they don't sort themselves out.

Anyway, there's another 2 off the list then!

Aston Villa have slapped a £30m price tag on the head of James Milner in an attempt to fight off interest from Manchester City.

City have already failed with one bid in the region of £23million and are expected to make an improved offer at some point, while Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill is desperate to keep hold of the midfielder but the £30m valuation is unlikely to scare off City, who are ready to spend big again this summer.

City may also offer defender Nedum Onuoha as part of the deal after it was revealed that O'Neill is keen on the £5million-rated England under-21 international.

However, O'Neill would prefer to keep the deals separate and will want £30m for Milner before pursuing a deal for Onuoha.

Javi Martinez' agents reckon we enquired about him 3 months ago but nothing has materialised since then and we have made no offer. He has a contract to 2014 and a €30M get-out clause. (Elmundodeportivo)

Jerome Boateng admits Roberto Mancini pep talk convinced him to join Manchester City

Jerome Boateng has revealed how a two-hour chat with Roberto Mancini convinced him to quit the chaos of Hamburg for Manchester City.

The 21-year-old expects to formally complete his £10.5million move this week, signing a four-year contract with the ambitious Barclays Premier League side before jetting out to the World Cup as part of Germany's squad on Sunday.

He was part of an ambitious Hamburg side, who signed Ruud van Nistelrooy in the winter and were looking to reach the Europa League final at their home stadium.

But events off the pitch persuaded Boateng that his future lie away from the Nordbank Arena, where coach Bruno Labbadia was sacked and replaced by former Tottenham fitness coach Ricardo Moniz just three days before the European exit at the hands of Fulham.

'I didn't like it any more,' Boateng told SportBild. 'Everything fell apart in the second half of the season.

'Things weren't great in the team. One thing would be said in public, while the others talk about you behind your back.

'There are things that have happened that have made it easier to make my decision.'

Boateng believes his team suffered overconfidence in their pursuit of the Bundesliga title and eventually finished a disappointing seventh.

When City moved to complete a deal that was first revealed by Sportsmail in the spring, it took Mancini to set out his vision - and promise Boateng his favourite No 17 shirt - to sway the four-year deal.

'Before going to the World Cup I'll probably sign and announce the transfer,' he said. 'It is decided that I will go there.

'He (Mancini) was with two representatives of the club in Hamburg. We talked for two hours and he encouraged me to go.

'He said I would certainly need a month or two to get used to being in England. But he sees so much potential in me, and he will make me into a better player.

'Bayern were also interested, but there were no negotiations or advanced talks.

'Even though many people tell me I will struggle to be successful, I have confidence in myself. Nothing scares me, and I need a new challenge.'

This kid is a very powerful defender. It's a great deal for City and for Boateng too.
