View from the Away End

I would usually go into this game worried about spuds being our bogey team etc., but I am honestly so confused by what is going on this season that I am actually looking forward to it. Sounds like Pep has virtually a full squad to choose from, and surely we cant lose three on the run? I seem to have more confidence than the away fans, which is not difficult!

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Simon Hooper
Assistants: Adrian Holmes, Timothy Wood
Fourth official: David Coote
VAR: Darren England
Assistant VAR: Matthew Wilkes

Team Selection

Forster
Romero Dier Lenglet
Doherty Sarr Bentancur Perisic
Kulusevski Kane Richarlison

And the rest…

7-1

I imagine this is where City find form. Could be 3 or 4-0 tbh. Then again, it'd be just like us to go and win just to help Woolwich that little bit more.

We’re shit but will probably win going past matches .

Yay I can’t wait to see another 3 at the back with shit wing backs and zero creativity.

Win or draw & help those twats up the road or lose again. there's no positive outcome to this game.

Who cares at this point. we could win then lose to fulham the week after but with city losing 2 they aint losing 3 in a row.
I think if Lloris plays he is going to do a 13 second gaffe and we will lose 6-0 again like we did 10 years ago. Forster has to play, even if it’s just to let Hugo clear his head. He has clearly lost his focus this season.

Man City don't look all that great either and Pep looks bored. That freak they've got up front offers them nothing when he's not been given the ball in the box either, but luckily for him Hugo will pass it to him. 3-0 to City. Conte to say we played well. We'll announce a new Official Stationary Partner to distract us.

I hope we get fucking smashed.

Usual line up shite, usual formation. 4-0 and followed possibly by a sacking.

City look a shadow of themselves atm. Pep throwing the towel in, it's not looking good. Not sure I fancy City to beat Woolwich in the two games anyway. Maybe internally he is telling the squad fuck the league and domestic cups lets give everything for the CL this season.

I would rather finish outside the top 4 than see Woolwich win the title.

This is the game where Son arrives back in form…1-2 to Spurs.

Richarlison must start ahead of Son.

We seem to do pretty well at their place. So you never know , but we a right mess at the minute. A very average football team. I just don’t see a win here….. not sure what will happen after this game but it won’t be pretty.

Another fucking game where we play 343 and get over run in midfield, go a goal or two down and only then do we start playing.

City will batter us twice. Imagine Haaland against this lot. Dier and Lloris with at least 2 assists each.

Haaland might beat Shearer's record in this game.

Dier and Lloris with at least 2 assists each is a good line

I am very worried about this one. We are playing poorly and Spuds have a reasonable record at ours and Son usually saves his best for us

Please just win

This seems to be a bit of a narrative amongst non city fans here, bit of a worry if that’s what the outsiders are thinking.

Pep wont be telling them to fuck the league, no chance, him saying we cant win the league is tongue in cheek, he has not thrown in any towels. At the very least we still have to finish top 4.

I am not convinced we can just 'turn it on' for selective games (champions league) form is developed over time. I was encouraged by some signs in the second half of the cheat fest Saturday.

I hope the squad are still angry. They should be.

I interpreted Pep post Rag match as saying: look we are playing at OT, we expect to be cheated here but this just different level and I am so pissed of by how blatant it is I don't care about winning the PL anymore. But as it is expected, we should have accepted it and stayed focused and not conceded the second. We reset and go again against Spurs.

Pep never gives the players an easy way out (like Klopp's moaning). He never gives them an excuse or a reason not to turn up, no matter what shafting has taken place.

We have to play Arsenal twice, after tonight we are only half way through the season, there are 20 matches to play, Arsenal are favorites but they have to keep going, they can be caught, go catch them, my guess is that is the message being given to the players.

Well the lass in our office who is ST at White Hart Lane, is convinced they won't get anything of the game, unless they get their Usual VAR help!!!

I said we are far from being at the races, she said if you think you're only getting 40% from your team (meaning us), then they are only getting about 12.5% if they are lucky out of there's!!

Pep has said KDB is back from dealing with a personal issue, here's hoping whatever that was he can get his head back in the game. Also good news that Ruben and John are back in contention.
